...We have had our Ariston washing machine for 5 years now. We bought it because we had our last ariston washing machine for 7 years with no problems. We purchased the AB930C because it had a dryer and was Eco friendly. With a 5 year old in the family we do a wash at least once, if not twice a day. The machine is quiet, no hassle and has not let us down once. On the reliability of the last machine I did not purchase an extended warranty and thank goodness we have not needed it. So full marks to ariston. Your machines indeed go on and on and on....

Advantages: Good washing Disadvantages: Only lasted 12 months
...Don't buy an Ariston
I've had this dishwasher for 13 months - it went wrong 1 week before the end of the 12month guarantee
It isn't very well made - and the tank leaks after a while as it is only sealed by a day to day sealant. This breaks down after a while and water leaks into the bottom of the dishwasher - it then blows tripswitches
My dishwasher engineer says this happens a lot with Aristons. They are difficult to fix because it is difficult to find the leak
Keep the filters VERY clean, but once it starts it will keep happening
You have to tip the dishwasher to the side, drain all the water and leave it for a minimum of 2 days to dry out
I've had enough
It's going for scrap...

...I'm looking for a new washing machine, and want to compare the energy efficiency of my current machine to new ones on the market. This is how I came to stumble across the review of the Ariston Margherita by Quakerman. I was stunned by what I read.
I can only assume that either Quakerman has been very lucky, or I have been very unlucky in the machines we received.
I bought mine in October 2002. It broke down three times before the standard warranty ran out.
At the end of the warranty period you have the chance to take up a maintenance contract. We normally avoid these & extended warranties like the plague, but give the machine's poor reliably we thought we better had in this case. Now it's 2007 and it's had so many replacement parts in it it's probably a new machine!
I've lost count of the number of call outs we've had to make...

Our washing machine is, without a doubt, the second hardest working thing in our house (after me, obviously..lol) so when our previous, and somewhat geriatric machine suddenly died on us without warning, a replacement was sought without delay.
