... ...Di Gio was created by Giorgio Armani in 1995 and is recommended for casual wear. This feminine scent contains a blend of fresh floral, sweet pea, and jasmine." The first time I wore this to work, one of my coworkers almost drooled all over me and said 'you smell amazing, what perfume is that?' and when I told him, he said he would buy one for his girlfriend, presumably so he could drool all over her ;)
Okay, I admit, I didn't really 'need' a new perfume, as I already own too many to mention without it being embarrassing cause there are people going hungry in the world and I am obsessed with perfume, but I had to have it. I went down to the local cosmetics shop as they wanted to give me a Clinique lipstick for being such a good customer (perfume, anyone?) and the green box stared me down. It whispered to me, along with the huge tester bottle : Sarah, you know you want to spray me... I smell soooooo gooooood.... and I am a sucker, so I couldn't resist. I did however only succumb to the smallest size, so I guess that's forgiveable....I first came accross this scent when my good friend in high school had this sitting on her dresser in 1996. I thought it smelled super classy and yum. Anyway enough blabla, let us move on to the scent!*
~The packaging~
Acqua die Giņ is available as an Eau de Toilette, and comes in a minty-green cardboard box. On the front of the box is written in dark green 'Acqua di Giņ, Giorgio Armani, Eau De Toilette Vaporisateur natural spray. The cap is a platic golden affair, so the overall look is simple chic. The sprayer is of gold coloured metal and delivers short bursts of fragrance. The fragrance itself is acqua green, but sprays clear.
~The fragrance experience~
Acqua di Giņ starts off with a top note of fresh cut flowers (sweat pea smells sweetly rosy), with middle notes of oceanic freshness, or the smell of a freshly rained upon garden, and then ambery woody musky notes round up the base. Super feminine and a fragrance which is really hard not to like. Very luminous. The Armani description of this creation: "Acqua Di Gio was created by Giorgio Armani in 1995 and is recommended for casual wear. This feminine scent contains a blend of fresh floral, sweet pea, and jasmine." The first time I wore this to work, one of my coworkers almost drooled all over me and said 'you smell amazing, what perfume is that?' and when I told him, he said he would buy one for his girlfriend, presumably so he could drool all over her ;)
I have the 35ml bottle of edt, but it is also available in 50ml and 100ml sizes. There is also shower gel, body lotion, and deodorant available if you want to splurge. I paid about £18 for my 35ml bottle, so it is pretty expensive.
~The smelly truth~
I love this fragrance in the summer as a classy change to my Cool Water Woman (Davidoff). It is a very distinctive scent and undeniably summery and feminine. It fits in with jeans and a tank or an elegant gown. I find it lasts all day if sprayed on the nape of the neck or on clothes. I find that it irritates my skin if I spray it on my neck (in front) or wrists :( Would be nice in winter too as a pick-me-up when I get sick of the endless grey days :) It is a nice everyday fragrance and I could easily see it being someone's signature scent, but I am far too fickle for that ;) If you are looking for a fresh feminine scent which is very distinctive smelling, you should give it a try! As it irritates my skin, I can only give it four stars.

Advantages: Smells divine, fresh and light perfect for daytime Disadvantages: Bottle is a bit boring
Right so here I am again, letting you know what I think of Acqua Di Gio Eau De Toilette this time. Any of you who have read my profile will know that I do adore my beauty/hair products and perfume! I am slowly working my way through all the things that I have tried, to be honest it should keep me busy for a while as there are quite a few of them lol
Acqua Di Gio was launched all the way back in 1995 and it still smells as fresh and new as it did ... ...and don't seem to smell as good as you get older and your lifestyle changes, well I think this still suits me as much as it did the first ever time I tried it about 10 years ago.
Made my Georgio Armani as a lighter daytime option to his other perfumes I tried this after I had already tried another of his perfumes - Gio which was quite a strong smelling fragrance. This was much lighter and more suitable for wearing in the daytime. Advertised as an ...

Advantages: Gorgeous smell Disadvantages: The fragrance doesn't seem to last very long
...in 1995 by design house Giorgio Armani and is still popular today. It is a refreshing floral fragrance that captures a summer's day in the Meditteranean - it certainly has that smell about it. Immediately upon spraying I can smell freshly cut grass and after a short while can smell freshly cut flowers. Combined with this there are 'water notes' of sea spray (not the horrible salty kind!) but more like a fresh 'ozone' smell. Apparently the floral ... ...- I don't know about that! I can only smell freshly cut flowers like the inside of a florists' shop - a gorgeous smell in my opinion!

This is a fantastic fragrance for holidays and the summer - it's very fresh and very light. My only problem with it is that the smell doesn't seem to last (perhaps it's just me!). Luckily I have the large 100ml bottle so I've been able to apply it liberally as and when - although people have ...

This is a light green fragrance that comes in a simple rounded square bottle with a gold spray and a clear bubble top. Although I've taken this abroad its never leaked.
The smell is quite light and subtle and also very refreshing and sweet. As suggested by the name the fragrance reminds me of water very cool and refreshing however it is too sophisticated for everyday wear and I feel it is better suited to evening wear or for special occasions.

Advantages: Everyone comments on it Disadvantages: None
This perfume is my favourite of all my perfume, and i have a lot of it!
It is so clean and fresh, once a week i treat myself and have a bath with the bath crystals, then use the shower gel, moisturiser and finally put on the fragrance.
It would describe the smell as light, sporty, fresh and refreshing.
I have went through about 400ml of this perfume in the last couple of years. I hope they dont stop making this perfume, nothing comes close to ...

Advantages: gorgeous, male friendly Disadvantages: my bottle is too small
My husband bought me this perfume as a mistake - I wanted Ralph by Ralph Lauren. What a mistake to make - I was immediately taken by how gorgeous it was. It has a light, but enduring scent, quite floral but more grassy than rosey !!! I have used it on many occasions, although I would say it's more of a daytime perfume than a nightime. It's not a high profile perfume, hence I had not heard of it before, but now all of my friends know it's unique smell ...

Advantages: Light, fresh Disadvantages: Get a spray-bottle!
Back in the mid-90s there was something of a revolution when it came to mens fragrances. Gone were the days of heavy, spicy, woody scents - replaced instead by fresher, lighter, citrus almost feminine notes. Launched in 1996, AquaDiGio from GiorgioArmani was one of the main players in this change and quickly became one of the most popular scents of the end of the 20th century.
Apparently, Mr (Giorgio) Armani gets his inspiration for fragrances from the island of Pantelleria, located half-way between Sicily and Tunisia in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately I've never been to the island (and this is a review of an aftershave anyway!) but it's fair to say that AquaDiGio helps conjure up an image?
Arriving in a plain off-white box with embossed lettering, it looks simple enough. The bottle itself has clean lines and is made ...
Advantages: A nice distinguished smell Disadvantages: quite easy to over-use
Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! A Rarity for yours truly here don?t you think? Ladies and Gentle-Women, Angelus is once again going to try and dabble in a review of a ?lifestyle product? - this time being an Aftershave, something that for a loooooooong long time I didn?t bother using, then I was convinced to try out AquaDiGio out and never looked back from there.
Anyway onto the actual product itself, AquaDiGio itself was a product launched onto the market by the design house owned by GiorgioArmani back in 1995 and being marketed as a ?resolutely masculine fragrance born from the sea, the sun, the earth and the breeze of a Mediterranean Island? it seems to have garnered a small reputation of being the ?young mans choice? (this being the sales assistant who sold me my first bottles words, not mine) and though not having the huge marketing ...
