Overall then, would I recommend this product to potential consumers? I most certainly would! I think that despite the price tag seeming high, on reflection and comparisons to the competition, then this price is reasonable and on par with similar products on the market right now. Throughout its life, Armani has been perceived as a company who produce goods of high quality. As a result, it has followed that people who own Armani products often use them as some sort of status symbol, in that not only can they afford the expensive prices, but also appreciate fine quality.
So moving onto this aftershave then - a relatively new fragrance, "Mania" by Armani for Men - does this product fall into this category of high quality or is it another shameful release simply attached to the brand to sell it?
I bought a 100ml (3.4 Fl oz in old money) bottle of this aftershave a little over a year ago, as I was intrigued by the new fragrance, and wanted a new aftershave. It cost me £35.00 - which is the RRP although I'm sure if you shopped around or looked online you could find it cheaper than that.

*For all those who are adverse to obscure and seemingly random descriptions of fragrances, look away now!*
Giorgio Armani state that the freshness of the fragrance is derived from both mandarin and saffron, the woody-ness comes from cedar and vetiver (a fragrant grass of a similar ilk as lemon grass) and the amber comes from well, amber.
Personally I cannot derive any of these things from smelling the fragrance. Although upon sniffing the fragrance it does remind me a little of fruit, although whether this is the mandarin spoken of, I am not sure. To me it simply smells of a pleasant masculine fragrance which is pleasing to the nose. It is different from other fragrances I have tried before, and I haven't smelled anything quite like it in an aftershave. (Which is good really, because you'd hate to think they were just churning out the same fragrances season after season wouldn't you?) The aftershave itself does seem to alter into a refreshing smell upon application, possibly this is the transition to wood and then to amber, whatever it is, a soothing almost citrus-like smell. The fragrance also feels very modern and masculine in its delivery.
Whilst using the aftershave I have found that a generous application works well. I have found that some aftershaves simply wear off after an hour of putting it on, and it makes the process seem rather pointless, and frankly a waste of money. With this aftershave however, I have found that this aroma is still going strong even after a long night out on the town - very commendable indeed. The extra longevity of the fragrance on the skin means you smell of Armani for longer - surely only a good thing!
The bottle is identical to the picture for the product above, except in the 100ml version, the bottle is taller. As you can see from the picture, the bottle curves in at the sides giving the impression of a concave bottle. However, one turn to the side, and you will see that the front and back of the bottle curve out in a convex nature. For those mathematically minded amongst you this produces a saddle-point effect around the bottle. (For those not, it takes a similar form to Pringles around the bottle!)
The bottle looks modern with such a sleek design and slightly smoked glass and silver top. The bottle oozes sophistication - as is usually the case from any Armani product.
The bottle lasted me the best part of a year with regular use, and so as a result I can justify the price tag - which to be fair is fairly standard for most decent aftershaves nowadays.
As per usual there are the usual warning about the flammable contents of the bottle on the back of the box as well as the ingredients for those that are interested or know what PEG-8 actually is.

Overall then, would I recommend this product to potential consumers? I most certainly would! I think that despite the price tag seeming high, on reflection and comparisons to the competition, then this price is reasonable and on par with similar products on the market right now. Considering the length of time that this product lasted me before I ran out, the one-off payment is almost negligible.
Also, combined with that Armani have produced a fragrance in "Mania" which is suitable to almost any situation, whether it be regular use for a day at the office or a special occasion, Mania suits the time perfectly.
As a result therefore I think what has been produced is fitting to be called an Armani product, and have all the positive connotations that come along with that. This fragrance certainly wont do the Armani name any damage, and it may in fact convert those which haven't yet embraced the Armani name.
For a refreshing and invigorating fragrance for any man, for any occasion, you could do a lot worse than try this one.
Advantages: Refreshing, for the Day or Night Disadvantages: None
I am something of an Armani fan, clothes, fragrances you name it I have it (or want it!). This is the latest fragrance for men, and what a versatile fragrance it is!
I'm no expert at describing fragrances, but it is a very light, fresh fragrance, with citrus notes (oooh! look at me with my 'notes'!), and an ever so slightly woody undertone.
It is a powerful fragrance, so you don't need to use lots of it, and it lasts well throught the day, so once ... ...- nice!
The bottle is made of smoked grey glass, with a graphite coloured lid and nozzle. It has a slightly strange shape - it is concave from the front )(, and convex from the side () - as my diagrams using brackets clearly demonstrate!
For me it is a fun fragrance to wear during the day, or for a relaxed casual night out . This is not the type of thing to wear to a business meeting, on a romantic date*, or on the pull** - it's an informal fragrance. ...
