I went to Arnold Clark to buy my first car and was very pleased with the service i recieved from the sales staff, i spoke to 4 different people and all were helpfull and friendly. I signed up for a used 55 reg Ford Focus, which i recieved a great deal including 6% finance including 12 months warrenty, 6months MOT and 12 months autocare mechanical warrenty (which i later found out i was paying for and they weren't free as i was lead to believe) I picked the car up on tuesday and drove it home and then found that the bonnet would not open, I phoned them up and was told i wouldn't be able to take it back until Saturday, my dad then phoned and i was told to take it back immediatley. Arnold Clarke cars

Advantages: Cheap

A couple of years ago discorvered arnold clarke first car was fine a corsa 1.2 . Then i upgraded to a corsa diesal bad mistake window had a big crack in it they sent a man to repair the chip could not do said it was to bad reported it back to the clown who sold me the car in the first place said he would order a new window then after couple of weeks of excuses admitted to me and my wife he had not orderered the window traded it against another corsa petrol fine needed a bigger car bought another car ac winsford all came from there .I have only had this car for 5 months about month ago power steering unit went did that under warranty smellt like burning smell weekend .any how took it to ac WINFORD 24-12-07 told me the clutch was going told me not to drive it anymore the then told me if it was driver neglect i would be ...

Arnold Clarke in Short; Bad Cars, Bad Service

Advantages: Reasonable initial pricing
Disadvantages: Poor products and aftersale service

3 years ago I purchased a Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 diesel from Arnold Clark with approximately 16k miles on the clock. At the time the car cost £10,500. Initially I was very happy with the car. Before the car reached 20k  and I had owned the car 8 months the clutch began to fail. The pedal going down to the floor but not returning. I approached the Stoke on Trent where I bought the car from but I was told the car was still under dealer warranty and it was down to Vauxhalll themselves to repair. Fair enough; this made sense I had purchased a car under 3 years old for this reason and had purchsed it from a car supermarket. Vauxhall asked for a large amount of money before they would strip the car down. Money I hadn't got.  I was forced to part ex the vehicle and went back to AC's thinking it was just a one off bad car and I had been unlucky ...
