Compaq StorageWorks Data Replication Manager is a storage-based data replication and workload migration solution that provides the ability to copy data on line and real time to a local or remote location. Data replication is performed at the subsystem level and in the background to host activity. StorageWorks Data Replication Manager operates on Fibre Channel RAID Array 8000 (RA8000) and the Enterprise Storage Array 12000 (ESA12000) external storage systems. The RA8000/ESA12000 FC systems are scalable, high capacity storage subsystems. These systems are the first set of products announced under the "Compaq StorageWorks" brand name. The RA8000/ESA12000 are the first complete multi-vendor Fibre Channel storage subsystems offered by Compaq. Commensurate with Compaq's Fibre Channel open platform strategy, these systems offer the best-of-breed storage solution for the multi-vendor, multi-platform open systems market. StorageWorks Data Replication Manager initially supports WNT Intel V4.0, with other open systems support soon to follow.
Advantages: The ultimate web animation software Disadvantages: None really!
...a much faster development as in v.4 and previous all the controls were in the menu bar!
Also, the ability to use MP3 as a sound file in Flash is new to v.5 and means your library of sounds and loops is greatly reduced.
If you have been working with animated GIFs and static images in HTML, and you do not feel like it is necessary to learn Flash, well think again. More and more companies require knowlege of Flash, even database systems can be incorporated into Flash these days!
It is become as essential as knowing how to use a graphics package and it allows for a new and fresh dimension to your web site.
Get it, a MUST!...

Advantages: Very reliable, good solid interface. Disadvantages: Can be awkward to use, have to be quite well versed at computers and networks
...This is the best software server software I have used, the workstation and server editions are great. With the server edition it was very easy to control the workstations of course as long as they had the workstation version. The multi tasking ability of Windows NT server edition is huge, any network running with all their pc's over 150mhz clockspeed should have NT as their network client because of its power and great network ability. Control of the network could not be easier through NT server and I have to say that I prefer this to Windows 2000 server which has too many bugs in it for my liking, this is a good solid prodduct....

Advantages: easy to learn, up to 299 tracks Disadvantages: heavy cpu usage
...Steinberg's previous software release of 'Cubasis' left me somewhat apprehensive as to the quality and integrity of their products. I wasn't too impressed with its ease of use, number of features, and compatibility with existing pieces of software, though I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. Having purchased and used Cubase SX, I can only assume they were having an off-day when producing its predecessor, as this is in complete contrast!
For starters, there is virtually unlimited capacity given the fact that the software allows up to 299 tracks to be used simultaneously in any one project. Fantastic for letting your creativity explode, and a God-Send if you're only used to 8 or 16 multitrackers in which track-bouncing is obligatory.
The software is also heavily VST-based. Everything from virtual instruments, inputs...
