The British-based Arrows team have had a lengthy period in the doldrums since they were a poorly funded team and despite producing attractive race cars they were not deemed competitive. They were regularly expected to be among the back markers with the likes of the Minardi team.Even getting a point would be considered an achievement. It is now beginning to look as though there is light at the end of the tunnel for the hugely popular Oxfordshire-based outfit. Funding has been secured from several sources and recently the Arrows got a very good fifth place at the Canadian grand prix. Jos Verstappen driving a very good race to collect two valuable points. Their other driver Pedro De La Rosa looks to have a good future and these two drivers as a pair are good enough to win more points, providing the team can increase their reliability. The time may not be too far off when Arrows will be a mid order team.
