Advantages: Very easy to follow Disadvantages: The whole series is very long
...When I saw the first Art Course magazine on sale I thought I`d give it a try, but I wasn`t very optimistic of it being able to turn me into an artist.
This is the only magazine that I have ever found that has actually taught me something. It is so easy to follow, and each issue is different. The first issue was £1.99 with a free art box that had a few paints in it. It is now published every 2 weeks for £2.99 and with it you get a free piece of art ... ...and much more. All the art equipment is of a fairly decent quality, so it won`t fall apart on you after just a few uses.
You are taught how to paint and draw in a step by step format, and because each step is accompanied by clear pictures and comprehensive instructions, even a total idiot would be able to learn the basics.
Each issue is laid out in the same way, consisting of the same seven chapters but with different content each time.

Advantages: A good way to find out about fashion Disadvantages: too "futile"
...afford, if I saved for months, would be one of these tiny vests that you hardly see on the picture but are still listed, with a price tag of £150.00, for example!
Other articles include interviews by current "trendy" stars. They like Kate Moss and her dress sense and recently did an interview with Sienna Miller.
They also have reviews about books and art. Of course, these is not "in depth", which is a pity, and focus on easy to read, fashionable stuff.
All in all, I would recommend Vogue as it is a relaxing read and keeps you up to date with the more futile things in life. It is also done very professionally by people who are the best in the business....

Advantages: gripping storyline Disadvantages: can not watch it whole in one day
...The basic story Season 1: a guy intentionally gets himself into prison to help his falsely convicted brother to escape. And he didn't do it without a plan, he disguised it's carefully coded details in an artful tattoo on his body. Off course, the plan doesn't go without a hitch, but at the end he, his brother and a few more prisoners (not all of them harmless) get out of the prison.
Season 2: They're out! Although after escaping they all went their separate ways, the men always end up meeting again. Reason: They have one special goal, that's common to all. But not surprisingly, there's a big chase after them too. The main character and his brother have a to find a way to prove the innocence, which involves uncovering dirty secrets of the government, so they're not only in danger of getting caught and put back in the prison... Some...

Advantages: Channel for a very neglected audience Disadvantages: Too many repeats
...CNX is a free (for now!) new channel, having started in November 2002, and is channel number 244 on Sky and channel number 903 on NTL services.
It has taken a very long time for a channel of this nature to turn up. Showing programs aimed at the young adult market who enjoy watching action animation shows and playing video games.
Most of the programs are animation and Anime cartoons with emphasis on action and adventure. Matrix-style sequences, martial arts and comic-book style animation shows are the main course here, with shows such as 'Justice League', 'X-Men Evolution', 'Samurai Jack', 'Batman Future' and 'Spawn'.
Action films, typically from Hong Kong cinema, are regularly shown too.
The presentation of the channel is well done and the variety of shows is quite large. A downside is that a lot of the shows are repeated...
