Advantages: No nonsense graphic, solid dial & sliders Disadvantages: Adds hiss, useless for quite sound reinforcement
...I own one of these - they feel solid to use and are 'just' a graphic EQ instead of having lots of extra bells and whistles, which is why I chose it. However, the biggest let down with the 231 is that it puts a LOT of noise in to the signal path. Other users of the 231 have made the same comment. I have swapped out leads etc but the fact is this unit is very noisey/hissy. Would be fine for a loud band, but useless for speech or anything quiet. LED metering is also very limited to a 4 grade scale - not incredibly accurate.
Mine was picked up for £120, new, via eBay. A good price but I am unable to return it due to the nature of auction sites.
Only buy if you have to....

Advantages: Full rich sound, gets better with age, comfortable to play Disadvantages: Finish prone to damage, bit pricey (but worth it)
...***From the first note***
I've had my Art & Lutherie guitar for about 4 years. It was purchased from Hanks guitar shop in London. This guitar sounds so beautiful that I believe whatever your ability, you will want to play it and you will be rewarded and inspired by what you hear. The clarity and depth of each single note means that just by exploring the fingerboard, you can come up with something that sounds pretty good, even if you're a total beginner. My Art & Lutherie sounds so fine and plays so well that it makes my old guitar feel like a shoe box with rubber bands stretched over it.
***Tuning***
I think you can tell a quality guitar by its ability to stay in tune. My previous guitar...

I bought this unit as a replacement for my pioneer 313 home cinema system and I cannot fault it. It is a very reasonable price for a complete system with HDMI output (I paid £162 for a multi region one)
The only difference between the 230 and the 231 is more
Our dishwasher had broken down one time to many and as we've had it for some years now and it was given to us second hand then we decided the time had come to remove the cobwebs from our wallets and buy a new one!!! We chose the Zanussi ZDF231 which is more
Lets start with a short tale of outstanding customer service - I bought one of these cheap while I was in Canada, but on returning home it didn't work properly (I have a voltage adaptor) - it was just a broken, possibly even refurbished, grinder. That's... more
