~Bit about Articulate (to bulk out this review)~
I first discovered this hilarious game a couple of Christmas' ago, when Snarf's parents bought it as a "family" present, and last year, Snarf got it in his stocking, and last night we finally broke it out of it's cellophane wrapper.
There is unfortunately a minimum of 4 players for this game, and little sis' boyfriend was working, so there were only 3 of us, but this game is so good ... ...back to the game.
Articulate is a brilliantly simple game, aimed at 12 years old + and you can have any number of players from (according to the box) 4 - 20(+), the aim of the game is to get your little cone round the board to the finish line before the opposing teams - now the way that you get around the board is by guessing what a member of your team is describing from the cards supplied, and guessing as many as possible before your 30 seconds ...

Advantages: A superb party game that's riotous fun Disadvantages: Price, needs a minimum of 4 players

----
Articulate has the snappy by-line of 'The Fast Talking Description Game'. Indeed, the premise is very simple, it is a form of verbal charades. Or as we explained it to my neighbour before the New Years Eve inter-neighbourhood board game battle, 'it's like the last round on They Think It's All Over'.
Divided into teams, and for this reason the game can be played with a minimum of 4 players, each team has a describer and a guesser (or guessers ... ...I actually feel as if Articulate was a game that leveled the field somewhat as at times it was the clear and more simple thinking that gets the results and the smart a*ses trip themselves up being clever. This game went down so well at New Year we missed Midnight as we played three straight matches (it became a grudge match!). I laughed till my sides ached. There are a few other play features which I'm not going to list here as I am rambling and ...

Advantages: A good game for all the family, good for big groups Disadvantages: cost, can take a while to pick up
...it?
This is what Articulate is all about. Describing words to your fellow team members. It is a great family and group game that can have you in hysterical laughter, especially at some of the weird descriptions that people come out with! This game really does prove that we do not all think alike!
Who is it for?
The game requires a minimum of 4 players but there isn’t really a maximum number as each team can have any number of players. The ... ...although sometimes the more simply you think about a word the better you do .. So watch out when playing with kids!!
How to play the game
Players divide themselves into equal teams and each choose a colour cone to play with. The board consists of a hexagonal game area with different colour segments on it. Each segment represents one of six subjects. These subjects are PERSON, WORLD, OBJECT, ACTION, NATURE and RANDOM. Each team has describers and ...

Advantages: Great Fun Disadvantages: Some people get very serious about it
...get out the board game Articulate and prepare to learn all sorts of interesting things about your guests.
This game is just so much fun I cannot recommend it for the weak bladdered! I have never played a game of Articulate without tears of laughter being shed copiously by myself and others.
The game is simplicity itself - or so it appears at first. You get into teams and take it in turns to have a go at making a complete fool of yourself. Don't ... ...to make fools of themselves before the game is through, so there is a genuine inbuilt support network of sympathetic team members to get you through.
When it is your turn to go, you will be presented with some game cards, a die, after throwing the die you will get a category to follow, an eggtimer will be turned over and you have until the last grain of sand trickles through the glass funnel to persuade your team mates to utter the word from the ...

Advantages: An inexpensive night in that provides you with as much fun as a night on the town Disadvantages: You don't ever want to stop playing, makes for a late night
...of fun and laughter. Articulate is a personal favourite of ours. It is a game played with a minimum of 4 people and there is no maximum. It's recommended for over twelve and that probably is accurate, although, younger can manage just fine.
The object of the game is just what the title says, to articulate! There are 5 categories on the board: Object, Nature, Random, Person, World and a spade, which can be any of the categories. The idea is to descibe ... ...saying the word, what letter it begins with or what the word sounds like. They have to say that word exactly. If it has an "s", they have to say it in the plural. If it is an action category, they have to addd the "ing." It's not as easy as it sounds and it all gets rather manic.
I found a good trick. We divide the word up into silly syllables if we have no clue what the word means or who the person is or where the place is, etc. For example to ...

...from point A to point B.... Ah hell, that's just being nice, the architecture really doesn't mean squat in this game, it's just cool to talk about it.
Konoko herself is good looking. She's highly articulated and well animated (in terms of looks), and her tight-fitting action suit, while probably horrible looking on a guy, looks um, really great on her. I always love the fact that military guys always wear the most utilitarian of clothes, while military chicks always wear tight-fitting leotards or skin-tight jumpsuits, for extra erm, something... From a guy's standpoint it makes perfect sense...
Sound:
Oni is also quite spare when it comes to music, too. The game comprises mostly background sound effects and the occasional drop of foreshadowing music. A high-powered rocking soundtrack comes in when things get really special and it...

Playability. UT2003 is incredibly playable. While you may experience slow loading times and the occaisional stutter in your playing when the action heats up, it's worth it. There is just this feeling that is quite hard to articulate, but you still feel that this is a game worth owning.
I recommend this game to anyone who has a system that can play it....
