Disadvantages: Can be a struggle for amateur players, a bit pricey, smaller condensed book would be handier.

In the not so documented-online approach of being an educationist and as a musician, there are only a couple of books that I rely on when it comes to playing piano and music books in general. This is largely down to cost prices of music on manuscripts, or ...

Windows of Imagination

Advantages: Beautiful reproductions of amazing stained glass
Disadvantages: None

Some time ago I was given a huge hard-backed copy of Edgar Allan Poe's "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" with each story illustrated by beautifully intricate black and white drawings. Both enchanting and grotesque - like Poe's stories themselves - the pi ...

Advantages: Great front cover, hysterically funny
Disadvantages: Some parts seemed a little too rushed

''Alan is the spiritual son of Frankie Howerd''. (Quote from City Life) I think that says it all…. With big thanks to my boyfriends sister I am now the very proud owner of Alan Carr's 'Look who it is' book. It is immediately going to be added to my va ...
