Advantages: Great for big simpsons fans
Disadvantages: more magazine than book, for simpson fans only

The simpsons Forever (a complete guide to our favorite family continued) is a great book RRP £9.99 (purchased from Waterstones) 95 pages long, including indexes etc. Created by Matt Groening and edited by Scott M. Gimple. Published by HarperCollins Entertainment Cover shows bart holding a book of the simpsons a complete guide to our favorite family (see picture at the bottom) This book includes all new more characters, episodes and secret jokes ...
...A typical page in the book shows an episode title, details of what happened and the story line, followed by comments from characters, things you may have missed and the chalkboard gag. On the side of every page is details of a (new) character featured in the programme, eg. who they are, what they do, and how they behave etc showing their quote in a speech bubble. are we there yet?...this takes us there!
Review of The Simpsons' Guide to Springfield - Are We There Yet? - Matt Groening by johnsy32

Advantages: Informative and fun
Disadvantages: Maybe too much text for younger readers

...really fun book, one of the features I really enjoyed was essays that were included throughout the guide which gives views on Springfield through the eyes of the resident’s of Springfield. The use of the colours and layout of the book really give it an attractive design for the reader. It is good going through the book and seeing what places you have spotted in the episodes from watching them and having a bit more background information. It came ... Read review

The Lost Chronicles
Review of The Lost Chronicles: The Official Companion Book - Mark Cotta Vaz by Natanna

Advantages: High quality pictures, detailed information, secrets from the show, free DVD
Disadvantages: None

...have been hooked ever since the first episode! When the first series finished I heard that they were releasing an official companion book for the series. Well I just had to have this! It's a brilliant book and covers pretty much eveything, it includes in depth interviews with the cast and crew, high quality picures, an episode guide and lots more. Not to forget that there is a a free DVD of the pilot episode, so that makes the book definitely well ...
...not familiar with the show, it's about a group of 48 plane crash survivors who are stranded on a desert Island in the South Pacific. They are have to work together in the hope that they will get rescued. They soon realise that the Island they are on is no ordinary Island, there are polar bears, strange noises coming from the jungle and a mysterious looking hatch hidden in the ground. Phil uncovered
Review of Philip Lynott (The Rocker) - Mark Putterford by Lauren007

Advantages: Everything you could ever want to know
Disadvantages: Slightly upsetting in places

This is quite a significant book to me. I grew up listening to Thin Lizzy and being Irish, my whole family was totally in love with their music. Phil Lynott was such a complex character I felt I owed it to him to read this book, just to prove that there was more to him than just the drugs. I learnt so much about him and the band that at points I felt I knew them. It was strange to think that if only Phil had stopped the drugs, he'd still be here. ...
...gives us all the gory details of his life, it tells tales of Phils hilariously flirtatious character, his obsession with music and showed us what a loving father he was and how much he loved being a father. Last year I had the privelige of meeting his son and I felt like I knew everything about his father and he knew so little (he had only just found otu Phil was his father due to Phil giving him away because of his religion). It was amazing, it ... Read review
