Miller's collectable price guide
Advantages: lots of pictures Disadvantages: can be pricey for the newer editions
I am going to review one of the older books as Judith Miller brings one of these books out every year. She also brings out an antiques price guide annually aswell the paticualar one I am using as reference is the 1997 to 1998 version.
Judith miller and her team go round different auction houses and photograph items that are worth a fair bit. A lot of these things are modern day collectables, starting from the later end of the 19th century up to ... ...include a price, ie valuers estimate, say as £25-£40 If you go to car boots or flea markets it would be a good idea to look through one of these books, and get an idea of whats worth something amd what's it not.
Sections in the book include:
Advertising
Books
Ceramics
Dolls
Ephemera (film related things i think)
Luggage
Paper Money
Money Boxes
Puppets
In fact there's loads of stuff with just under 500 pages of goodies to look through. ...

* Have You Got The X Factor ? *
Advantages: Interesting , Facts , Great For Fans! Disadvantages: None
...a massive fan of The X Factor , although I do like to watch certain contestants performances and tune into the show every now and again. I think , how big of a fan I am definately depends on the series ; last year I was hooked , because there were so many contestants that I liked , however this year , I'm not fond of the contestants at all. I think Stacey's got a great voice but I find her so weird and anoying , Joe can sing and is fit but he's too ... ...each week.
Whilst doing the weekly shop in Morrissons the other week , by the 'lottery counter' I noticed a stack of books with 'The X Factor Printed On Them'. At first I thought , oh another gimmick to make money , although I couldn't help having a flick through. I thought at first that it was probably aimed at kids , but then after having a closer look , I realised the book actually had quite a mature feel to it (not extremely mature ,but enough ...

The Dirt
Advantages: well designed and written Disadvantages: none
...Dirt' certainly doesn't disappoint and the title is certainly an accurate reflection of the content! It's an autobiography of the band and its members, written by them with the help of Neil Strauss. One thing I particularly enjoyed about the book is that it's written from the points of view of each member, including the brief membership of John Corabi, as well as a few other people connected to Motley Crue. Constructing the book in this manner allows ... ...and sometimes the way they differ is very intriguing. Not only do we learn about the life and history of the band, we learn about the personal lives of the members (obviously though, only that which they are willing to reveal). You'll appreciate their music so much more after reading this book as it gives you the background of what they went through to get where they are now. As far as the physical aspects of the book are concerned - the cover design ...
