Advantages: Doesn't burn stuff Disadvantages: A pain if you want four slices. No reheat button.
...One problem with living with a bunch of people who have all lived apart before is "which toaster do we use?". To be frank, all of our toasters were a bit poor. With this in mind, time to head to the shops!
The Trio caught our eye, as having several of the major things we were after in it:
-A frozen bread button
-A thick/thin capability
-One sided toasting
The one sided toasting capability was the winner in this case. Want a sandwich with lightly toasted bread? Normal toasters, you're out of luck. This one, you can have your bread as nature intended on one side, and burnt to a crisp on the other.
This toaster also has a pull out crumb tray (no more shaking it upside down over the sink), and, as the name implies, it does three slices.
The thick thin mechanism holds the bread in place neatly, stopping it curling at the edges...

Advantages: Quick boil, loos good, good filter, good pouring Disadvantages: Be careful not to dent to stainless steel
...Believe it or not, it's not a blue kettle. It's white / stainless steel, but light up groovy blue when you start to boil water. Not sure where its blue light is inside to do that display. Like a veritable Christmas display! Should impress all friends and relatives.
It boils quickly, the filter inside is great, and best of all it's sturdy and easy to pour (no spillage). This kettle will last a long time and is well worth the extra money.
If you don't bash this about too much, the stainless steel should remain in perfect condition. Easy to install and remove the brita cartdrige too- one of those mini ones.
A cool addition to any swanky kitchen. Goes very nicely with any stainless steel theme....

Advantages: Very light and easy to clean Disadvantages: not quite a true black
...I purchased this kettle less than a month ago to replace my old stainless steel kettle, it has been marvelous. I searched for ages for a black kettle that was a rapid boil that was not stainless steel and found this one. Being a Breville I was expecting it to be a high quality product and I have not been disappointed. It illuminates red when it is boiling and blue when boiled which is great as I know that I have definately turned it on and when it has boiled. The filter is very easy to remove and clean. I was also impressed that for once you can actually see water level clearly and therefore are not in danger of over filling. The only downside is that it described as being black but as it is plastic the colour is not quite black, however it is very easy to clean and does not leave marks like the stainless steel kettles...

When we found that we were expecting our first baby, like all excited first time parents we put a lot of time and effort into researching all of the products on the market to see what they had to offer. One of the most important buys that we knew that we more
