Advantages: Flexible cooking, very hi quality, economical to use Disadvantages: Expensive, accessories not always readily available.
...I'm a bit of a bbq freak. In fact come the summer british gas lose one hell of a lot of money, and I've even been known to bbq in the winter; well you don't have to eat outside just because you cooked outside do you?
My first experience of Weber was in the 80s when I bought one of the round ones from an American PX in Germany whilst serving in the army.
It was a while before Weber hit the Uk. They do tend to be a bit expensive, but believe me the quality is worth every penny. The above bbq lasted me over 12 years and would have lasted longer had I not kept forgetting to cover it up. It eventualy got rust round the handle.

Advantages: Packaging from 100% well - managed forests Disadvantages: Not enough charcoal, some go out, expensive
...Being a bank holiday weekend we decided to make use of the extra day and went camping in the lake district this weekend. Having enough things to clean while camping and cooking we decided, as we always do, to not add a BBQ to this list and take disposables. On the front is a piece of A4 paper which has the product name on it and boasts that the packaging comes from 100% well - managed...

Advantages: Mobile, even heat all round Disadvantages: stability on rough ground, various safety issues
.... Anyone using a BBQ and that is any BBQ should not leave them unattended at all, especially with this model as the entire ‘globe’ section gets hot and it is at the right (or wrong) height for small children. The tripod leg design although stable on flat surfaces allows it to be used on rough ground and does mean that it can be unstable if knocked. Needs firm positioning on the ground before it is lit.
Summary.
If you are a small family and you enjoy good barbeques then this is the BBQ for you. It is well constructed if you can sort the falling leg issue and it heats nicely all round. As with all BBQs it needs constant attention to stop the kids from frying themselves on the thing....
