Advantages: cheap, large, light, lid had a hook, easy to remove ash Disadvantages: hard to build, doesn't stand very high
...A hint of sunshine and most families get that urge to spend quality time together, sharing the glorious rays of the sun and collectively coming down 24 hours later with a bout of food poisoning following an undercooked chicken and 'black on the outside, frozen on the inside' sausages. My family is no different, however after discovering a serious amount of rust thanks to the great british weather my old barbecue was confined to the garden shed and a hastily purchased replacement was required.
Not being one to spend too much on an item I can safely say won't be used again this year we opted to purchase from the ASDA's own range of barbecues with the 4235Kettle being the barbecue of choice mainly because it seemed large enough for a family of 5 to cook comfortably on and because it had been reduced from it's usual price of £21 to £14...

Advantages: Cheap and work great! Disadvantages: Only disadvantage is that its not reusable
...August 2006 we moved into out new home during the summer. We had spent an absolute fortune on solicitor fees, cleaning costs (it had been empty for 18 months) and the general house moving costs that you would expect to pay.
Once we moved in we found ourselves in a dilemma. We had spent all available cash to move in and could not afford to buy non-necessity equipment like a new barbecue. But we also wanted to invite a few friends over for an intimate house warming.
We decided to buy some disposable BBQs instead as they were very cheap and we felt they would do the job. We decided to try one out on ourselves first, so that we could avoid culinary disaster in front of our friends!
We set upon buying one from Asda, and purchased a pack of sausages and some burgers and got down to it. What a mistake we made! The charcoal didn't heat quick...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Does not work
...I bought this product from ASDA for £1 and as per the instructions boiled half a kettle of water and added the contents and left for ten minutes. Simple enough you may think but on checking found absolutely no change to the kettle. I then reheated until the liquid started to fizz and left for another ten minutes when low and behold- nothing happened. Maybe its just the kettle (it is a cheap one but i would not have thought this would make a difference).
It does say that it is recommended by Morphy Richards Seimans and Prestige so I was quite suprised at the results.
Basically I would advise against this product as it simply does not work and I should really have claimed my money back. I must say I did not notice any particular smell as mentioned in the previous review....
