I was at the asda the other day doing my usual weekly marathon shop with the little ankle biters
As any mum will tell you shopping with the kids is a nightmare as they always play up when your up to your armpits in toilet roll!!!
So you have the 20 min dash to get in,shop and get out as quick as possible.
I went down the isle for toilet cleaner and they didnt have my usual brand so i thought i would try asda's own limescale remover for the toilet.
They had quite a few different scents so i picked up the forest fern one and off i trundled to the checkout with the little one screaming and the other 2 (who are 9 + 10) fighting all the way
Got it home and you are supposed to put it in the toilet and leave it for a bit and then go back and clean it and for really bad stuck on lime scale leave it overnight (thats ok if you have 2 toilets like i do but most people dont)
So put some in and left it for a while and came back to clean it. Well to say that it did not do what it was supposed to is an understatement i would have needed a hammer and chisel as it didnt even touch the limescale.
I then put some more in and left it overnight thinking that it would be easy to clean in the morning.
Next morning before the kids got up went into the loo armed with my loo brush and started giving it a good clean but this did not work either and the limescale was still there although it had removed some of it
My toilet is not even bad with limescale as i clean it every day with toilet cleaner and once a week with limescale remover so its not as if it had to get rid of huge chunks of the stuff
So on that point i would not recomend this product to anyone as it simply does not work and if you spill any on yourself or on the floor you will have nice bleach marks where it has been even if you mop it up and clean it straight away
Also the smell is a bit off putting as although it smells like forest fir there is a very nasty underlying smell that made me feel sick
How much did you pay for them...I hope they were cheap if they didn't work...Mandxx

It's the disappointment that I hate - you think something wil be easy and then...

Hilarious write-up! Loved it! Will definitely not buy this stuff. My other (better) half does professional cleaning and painting and uses acid for this sort of stuff -I'll try and remember to ask him which one! It's a bit like Calgon - my washing machine engineer says never to use it, so I buy my anti-whatnots from him: cheaper than Calgon, only use once every six weeks, and a pack that costs £10 lasts for a year!
