Oh my goodness, what I nightmare these were - usually I bought pads in Wilko and they were cheap, soft and lovely - so when I saw Asda George pads being sold in Poundland (wondered why at the time, now I know!) £1 for 40 pads, I never imagined they would be so cheap and nasty (asda is generally ... Might as well use cardboard!
Review of Asda Breast Pads by sportyminx

Advantages: Are there any?
Disadvantages: Where do I start?

...- so when I saw Asda George pads being sold in Poundland (wondered why at the time, now I know!) £1 for 40 pads, I never imagined they would be so cheap and nasty (asda is generally a respected brand after all!) They were like thin and scratchy flying saucer type discs that you put inside your bra and they felt just like you had shoved cardboard down there - it was horrible. Not expecting them to be like this, they were the only ones I had in the ...
...have been just as good without. Now I generally didn't seem to overproduce milk and vary rarely had the problem of leaking, but with these I was soaked well before my son was due his next feed! They were so uncomfortable, making indents in the skin (where the outer rim ran round) and generally rubbing against the breast and nipple - they truly were awful - I lasted a couple of hours before I bundled my son into his coat and pushchair and made the ... Welsh emblem springs to mind
Review of Asda Breast Pads by connor.k

Advantages: good for sanding walls
Disadvantages: utter rubbish

...go through to your clothing. Asda breast pads are like having sandpaper over your breasts. I do not see the purpose of this product at all except to make a big profit. Any mum that has purchased this product will not have got them again!. Johnsons were the best but way too expensive. The washable ones were comfortable too but with only 4 in a pack it worked out too expensive considering I would get through 14 a day!! At least!!!. Also, i wish some ...
...would invent a clip type thingy that you could place on your nipple so when you are feeding on one breast, the other doesnt pour out everywhere!. I used to sit there twisting my nipple to stop it leaking, not very helpful though as you need that hand to hold the baby! ... Read review

ASDA tried their George breast pads If not dont
Review of Asda Breast Pads by liz.carl

Advantages: Cost
Disadvantages: Fall apart, not very absorbant

...what top or bra I wore, the breast pad could always be seen, it was very shapely and this made it very conspicuous to other people. I seriously think ASDA should improve this product as sales are going to drop as it is not consistent with their other products. ... Read review

You get what you pay for.
Review of Asda Breast Pads by chucklechick

Advantages: Possibly ok for someone with minor breastmilk leakage
Disadvantages: Very uncomfortable

First problem with this product was actually locating them in the shop. I walked past them 4 times before I came across a small silver box with 'For you' written on the front. At the bottom was '30 shaped breast pads' in small writing. You could call the packaging discreet! The pads are wrapped in a poly bag in the box, the bag was difficult to undo. Each pad is white and round with a soft feeling center. However, the edge has got horrible embossing ...
...to the delicate breast tissue. The pad slips around in your bra and so has the potential to press into the side of your nipple, ouch! The backing has a waffle appearance, presumably, this is supposed to prevent the pad slipping, but as I have said it doesn't work. The pad doesn't absorb very much and I have had to change these pads more frequently than my usual brand. Even though these pads were cheaper (I can't remember exact price) than my normal ... Awfull
Review of Asda Breast Pads by vixstar78

Advantages: there are none
Disadvantages: Hard, and papery

Whilst breastfeeding myself i did buy these and found it was like having a pair of paper coasters stuck down my bra. There weren't absorbant in anyway, i dont know but presume a man designed them. I tend to leak a lot out of a boob whilst feeding from the other and i always found, even if i had just changed the pads, i would have to change my top as the had gone like loo roll. I also foun that if you got sweaty or leaked milk and it dried a little ... Read review
