...This was our first venture into the world of Gas fired BBQ's and we opted for this model as it suited our needs in both Size, features and the price was good. The BBQ size is (H)1050 x (W)1240 x (D)590mm with one end mounted on wheels to facilitate its movement to a conveniant cooking spot in the garden, although, there is no handle at the oposite end so it has to be moved by the use of the shelf. The cooking surfaces are Coated Castiron and are very heavy, one is a sloted rack with the other a solid griddle type with a fat drain off point. The BBQ dispenses with the need for Lava rocks by the use of a vaporiser bar which works really well with even cooking throughout. Any fat drippings are collected in the slide out base which has to be lined with tin foil and a layer of sand to soak up the fat, this would require changing at regular...

...Approximately 2 months ago I decided enough was enough buying cheap BBQ's and I'd splash out a few ££s (£149.99 to be precise) to get a decent one that would last me for years.
Well, out I went - shop to shop - website to website in search of my idea soulmate so far as BBQs were concerned.
My stipulations were - look good (ok, sad I know), plenty of cooking space, plenty of working space (beer space) & easy to clean. My further analysis show how well I did.
As soon as I saw the Outback Elite Flamer I was drawn to it. Stylish combination of aluminium & wood with all my stipulations answered....

Advantages: Just so convenient and cheap for the pleasure it gives. Disadvantages: The gas bottle doesn't fit inside underneath where it should
