... Unfortunately, because she only has a Visa Electron card, the transaction wouldn't go through so she turned to their big competitor, Asda.
As I haven't sent flowers from there I thought that I should first do a little bit of research on the website before writing about the actual quality ... Read review
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Mix-up with the order, Unreliable service, No full refund offered, Poor quality flowers
...Day. On the plus side, ASDA did deliver on the correct day. However, when she phoned me up to thank me for them, I realised that what she was describing most definitely was not what I had ordered for her. It was supposed to be a beautiful bouquet of flowers (3 Mini Gerbera Torrina, 1 Gyps, 3 Chrysanthemums white, 2 Santini Ceasar, 2 Rubelina Palm and 1 Lily pink) and instead she received a white plant pot covered in soil, with roses, 3 of which had ... ...wouldn't trust the quality of ASDA flowers.
I phoned them up and they apologised for the mistake and said they would deliver the correct bunch on tuesday. However, tuesday came and the flowers didn't arrive. When I phoned them up on wednesday, they informed me that they were not doing any redeliveries on Mother's Day flowers as they were part of a special range and the best they could offer me was a 50% refund. I was outraged by this as, effectively, ...

...a letter of complaint to ASDA but anything offerered will not make up for my mum not recieving the flowers I wanted to get her for mothers day. I would advise using another established company like interflora or maybe even tesco flowers!!!! Advantages: Quality & Presentation; Value; Well-Packaged Disadvantages: Parcelforce Delivery Only, no Local Courier
...surprised by the selection that ASDA had to offer and thought the prices were good. I chose the Extra Special Deluxe Pink Supersize for £36 inc delivery, and chose a delivery date 3 days hence, which happened to be a Saturday.
It was just as I processed the order that I had an "Oh No" moment. Asda use Parcelforce instead of a local courier service, and usual Parcelforce rules apply. If no one is at home, a card is left and a redelivery automatically ... ...to visit their local Parcelforce depot to collect the item. Of course, for deliveries of non-perishable goods this may be fine, but if no-one is home on Saturday, then nothing's going to be remedied until Monday, and what happens to your flowers in the meantime?
Luckily, the flowers were received with no problems, and my mum was delighted. In fact, she said they were probably the best she'd had. They were still going strong 9 days later.
