ASDA flowers nightmare |
|---|
I ordered the "Fresh Elegance" bouquet for my mum to be delievered on saturday for Mother's Day. On the plus side, ASDA did deliver on the correct day. However, when she phoned me up to thank me for them, I realised that what she was describing most definitely was not what I had ordered for her. It was supposed to be a beautiful bouquet of flowers (3 Mini Gerbera Torrina, 1 Gyps, 3 Chrysanthemums white, 2 Santini Ceasar, 2 Rubelina Palm and 1 Lily pink) and instead she received a white plant pot covered in soil, with roses, 3 of which had fallen off and others which had been squashed.
If it was just a mix-up with the order then I could have been a little more understanding but the fact that the plant pot she did receive was so awful I wouldn't trust the quality of ASDA flowers.I phoned them up and they apologised for the mistake and said they would deliver the correct bunch on tuesday. However, tuesday came and the flowers didn't arrive. When I phoned them up on wednesday, they informed me that they were not doing any redeliveries on Mother's Day flowers as they were part of a special range and the best they could offer me was a 50% refund. I was outraged by this as, effectively, they were charging me £12.50 for a mistake which they had made. Firstly, why was I not told about this on saturday when I phoned up the first time? And secondly, why are they still selling the "Fresh Elegance" bouquet on their website if it is no longer available?
When I told them that I was not accepting their 50% refund, they said that they would have to e-mail their supplier and see what they could offer me. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see.Considering that this bouquet was not cheap, I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere as it's possibe to get beautiful bouquets for the same price from companies which I certainly hope will offer both better quality and service.
This is the most outrageous service I have ever received and I certainly will NEVER be buying flowers from ASDA ever again! So thanks ASDA for ruining what was supposed to be a lovely surprise for my mum.

I think I'll stick with my local florist for local deliveries and Interflora for deliveries a bit further afield.

Very poor performance from a big name, especially given the occasion. Thx for the heads up :)
