Sausages were a firm favourite with her but the vast majority of pre-packed sausages contain gluten and the only store to manufacture and supply gluten free ones were Marks and Spencer’s - or so I thought!

Advantages: Gluten Free Disadvantages: Too much Onion
...back whilst shopping in the Asda I noticed that they had started selling there own Gluten Free sausages and that they were a damn sight cheaper than the Marks and Spencer’s ones.
Marks' cost £1.99 for a pack of 8 thick sausages where as these at Asda were selling for £1.38.
The only problem I faced was that these were Pork and Onion sausages and I wasn't too sure how the little would take to them.
Anyway I decided to give them a whirl.
So I purchased ... ...sausages come with a 200% Asda brand guarantee - which means that if you don't like them Asda will refund double the price - wish I had spotted that before I opened the bag and put them in the freezer 4 weeks ago!
Still I feel a big pat on the back is due to Asda for at least having a go and catering for this side of the market - so many manufacturers just can't be bothered.

Advantages: good flavour and price Disadvantages: often out of stock
...for himself in minutes!Well done Asda for finally pleasing one typically critical teenager! The only draw back that I have found to these sausages is that they are somewhat fatty possibly this is a requirment to hold them together as gluten is the so called 'stretchy starch' however I doubt it!On the whole Asda's gluten free range is just about the best but I must admit my son's firm favourite (at the moment)has to be Sainsburys gluten free lasagne! But ... ...the whole has improved greatly in the last 14 years since buying it.Long may it continue to improve. My son was diagnosed as having ceoliac disease at 1 year old! These sausages are £1.38 for eight and look just like a so called normal sausage.Considering the exhorbitant cost of most gluten free products I find this quite reasonable! ...

Advantages: Good value, really tasty sausages Disadvantages: quite fatty when cooking
Well done to Asda for recognising that there is a huge part of our population who require GLUTEN FREE products. It would seem that awareness of the coeliac condition is gradually increasing, which is good. Asda have a pretty good range of Gluten free products compared to a lot of supermarkets, and they dont cost a fortune, shock!!!!and even more shocking they actually tase nice!!!!!!!!!
The gluten free sausages are found in the fresh meat section, ... ...you see them it is best to stock up, they seem to sell quite quickly. The sausages are pork flavoured with onion and spices, you get a packet of 8 sausages for £1.38.
I think these are excellent value for money, great on the barby this time of year. The only thing I really dont like about these, is they spit quite a lot when you cook them, apart from that they are great!!! *******Guys I am so sorry 4 putting this in the wrong section, thanks blurbubble ...
