As I'm on the weight watcher's plan I like to find food's that are filling with less points in. This Tuscan bean soup by Asda is one of my favourites.

Not only is it warming and filling, but it's also healthy and nutritious. When I first got this I wasn't really taken aback by the design of the can after all it's pretty basic. However the soup shown on the can did seem appetising and strange as it may sound some healthy alternatives to higher fat soups can be nicer than the higher fat content soups. Ah and so was this.

Per 400g can it will only set you back 35p or you can buy any 3 soups for £1.00. Offer ends 31/12/2004 so you have plenty of time to snap up this offer. Asda even do home deliveries now so you don't have to worry about the hassle of shopping in store and buying all the extra foods because your hungry. All you need to do is go to the website and type in your post code to see if the store near you does deliveries as not everywhere does deliveries yet. Per 400g tin you'll find 1% fat and 108 calories.

The smell of this soup is highly delightful and will have you wanting to get straight into wholesome mouthfuls of deliciously tasty soup.

The taste is difficult to describe not like your average bean soup it was thicker and more filling. It definitely does taste like Italian food. There was real bits of bean in the soup which made it filling and I could have a bread roll with it too since it wasn't high in fat. I mean this soup is actually less than 1% fat now WOW isn't that something! Considering also the fact, that most Italian foods are sky high in fat and calories.

I've found that dieting doesn't have to mean that you go without or deprive yourself. Quite the opposite in fact. You actually learn to enjoy food because it's healthy for you and there isn't that guilt factor of well... I know this is bad for me, but just the once won't harm me. No none of that. If you start looking for healthy alternatives it's amazing how much food you can actually eat, indeed a lot more than what you were eating before that was bad for you. Well... I'm young at 27 and I don't want to be over 15 stone anymore. I want to feel fit and healthy. Who doesn't? It's not so much that I want to look good, but losing weight does mean that I can get into smaller clothes. It's the health factor. It's as simple as being able to walk up my steps without gasping for air at the top.

This soup is one of my healthy alternatives that means I can have a bread roll with it or even a sandwich! Not that you feel like it with this soup because it's so filling.

Not only has this got all the health factor's to it, but it's also extremely easy and quick to make. Now we all know what it's like when your dieting and hungry. You find yourself nibbling on all the wrong foods especially if you have children. Incidentally now is probably the hardest time ever for some dieters with Easter on it's way and the kids off school. The Easter egg's will be lying around the kitchen and it's so easy to sneak just a mouthful of chocolate which then becomes another mouthful and soon half the egg has gone. Well with this soup you don't have to wait for ages for it to boil. All you have to do is open it stick it in a bowl and put it in the microwave for 2 and 1/2 minutes. 2 1/2 minutes is not bad for a nice wholesome lunch and whilst your soup is doing you can be putting some low fat butter onto your bread roll.

Then 2 1/2 minutes is up and you've got yourself a nice healthy lunch. Eat and enjoy or should I say? Bon Appetite!

I've only bought this soup once, but I'm so impressed by this soup that I'm going straight back to Asda tomorrow and stocking up! Why don't you give it a try?
