I am a mother of three children, and have always sworn by the best for each child. That includes my choice of nappies. SInce my first son was born, I have used Pampers. This week I found myself shopping on a REALLY tight budget, so all brand names just had to go. Firstly, the packagaing is quite uninspiring. Lilac and blue in colour, they would not grab your attention when among other, brighter packages. The information is clear on the front, the size and type of nappy printed in large lettering for easy viewing.

Firstly, the packagaing is quite uninspiring. Lilac and blue in colour, they would not grab your attention when among other, brighter packages. The information is clear on the front, the size and type of nappy printed in large lettering for easy viewing.
There are five symbols across the top of the packet, which tell me that the nappies are hypoallergenic, have a thinner absorbant core, use baby soft materials, are regularly tested and offer double protection against leaks. Unfortunately, these symbols are small, and the writing around them tiny, so i had to squint a bit in order to read it.
The nappies themselves are attractive, featuring pictures of little car racers on the front, a one on the back. They have a particularly waxy feel.
The cut of the action fit is not as comfortable for the baby as the Pampers in my opinion. The elastic around the waist and the legs is not quite as genorous as I would expect ,and so fitting it properly is a little tricky.
The core is thicker, and has more cotton wool than the better brands, although on the whole it doesn't look imposing.
Around the legs there is a little 'skirt' which I suppose is there to help stop leakages.
The side tabs are velcro, which I like, because when fitting a nappy on a wriggling baby it is easy to make mistakes and need to re-fasten.
As my son is a toddler now, there are less nappy changes in a day than there would be with a small baby, but these nappies stood up to that. There were no leaks of urine, and the cotton wool did not blow up enormously when wet. When my son did a number two, there was some leakage as soon as he had done it, however the poor thing did have a poorly tummy, and i'm not sure that a more expensive nappy would have stood up to that test!
Overall, these nappies offer good value for money, however I do still prefer the better brand. Although the differences are subtle, they are still there.
Advantages: great value for money Disadvantages: can't think of any
...If you are shopping in Asda and baby needs changing you can also ask at Customer Service and they give you a free nappy - just make sure you ask for the right size.
I have added all that i can think of about these wonderful nappies but if you need any more information, I will gladly add to this opinion. ...

Advantages: fit well, keep contents in, cute, good price Disadvantages: for some reason (& i know some people like this) some people want a brand name only
...telling me for ages that Asda was very cheep and worth a visit (I'm not sure she's ever actually been herself!). There's a really big Asda not far from my home so I thought I'd give it a go and try and save a bit of money if possible. The shop itself was huge and I felt a bit lost for a while but I eventually found everything I needed. I went to the baby aisle last and saw a lady at the end of the row trying to tell people about Asda brand nappies. ... ...trying to raise sales of Asda brand nappies and was offering out coupons to shoppers which would make a pack of nappies cost only a pound. With my first child I tried Tesco nappies and they fell apart (bits from the lining seemed to come apart from the nappy and made quite a mess) and didn't fit very well so I was a bit apprehensive, but I thought worst case scenario I'd have to buy a new pack of Pampers post pay day. I got a pack of Asda Comfort ...

...legs.
I first tried Asda nappies through a free sample I was given. I thought, well, its one nappy, it was free, and if I hate them, I will know never to waste money on an entire package. I was very pleased at the performance of this trial nappy, so on my list it went. At £4.99 for a convenience-sized pack, it is not too terribly dear, but not all that much cheaper than Huggies or Pampers. 50 pence to £1 difference depending on where you live, and ... ...pence really add up. Also, Asda will take Pampers and Huggies vouchers for them. Yes, really.
As for discussing the quality and style of an Asda nappy, I am afraid Kimberly-Clark needs to look for a mole at their factory. It looks, fits, and performs just like a Huggies. branded nappy for the most part. It had the same bluish soft inner lining; the same soft double elasticised legs, and the little upside down pocket thing at the gathered back. The ...

Advantages: Cost effective, comfortable, reduce nappy rash Disadvantages: Sizes are smaller than other brands
...As you can see, Asda nappies are by far the cheapest. To make things even better, it is possible to by them in larger packets, approximately £6.50 for around 70/80 nappies (depending on the size). ABSORBANCY AND LEAKAGES:
Many people will use the argument that you pay for quality. But in this case you don't! When my lil' one started using Asda nappies, i'll admit is was pretty much because they were the cheapest. But then i began to realise that ... ...wasnt the case with the Asda brand nappies - due to the thick absorbant lining. When my baby started crawling around, i found that keeping a nappy up AND stopping it from leaking became a real problem. But luckily, Asda nappies had a solution for this too. Their Action Fit range (pretty much the equivalent of Pamers Active Fit!) have extra stretchy sides, and extra sticky resusable textile tape fasteners; meaning that builder's bum and undone nappies ...

...BUT...are they any better than Asda nappies.
Might just be my opinion here , but to be quite honest ...NO....they are not!
At the end of the day its there to do its job.
I'm not praising all cheaper nappies here, but the Asda ones are particulary good.
They are just as absorbent, equally as leak proof and keep all the smell in.
And this is the best bit....... they are miles cheaper.
I'm not calling anyone a snob here, but I have noticed that ... ...range of sizes to cater for everything from a newbor
baby to a lazy tot!
And at about £4 for the same amount of Asda nappies, you could spend £7 on some Huggies or Pampers just to fill them with number one's and two's.
The choice is yours! ...

Advantages: Really cheap...smell like talc Disadvantages: none at all
I buy these for 29p per pack of 100 they are fantastic value for money and work just as well as the more expensive ones..
They are quite thick plastic for a nappy sack so you know you wont have any accidents with the bag tearing. They are extremely durable and tough and well worth the money.
The bags are 285mm x 310 mm thats including the handles so they are a fairly decent size. They have a gorgeous baby smell to them..You know what i mean like freshly bathed baby with talc on..
The packaging of these is really good as well because you just rip the top off the bag( basically tear across the dotted line ) and pull them out as and when you require one.
For 29p you can't go wrong
Fantastic price
Fantastic product ...
Advantages: Cheap, they do the job, fragranced Disadvantages: None for me
As you probably know by now we have been adopted by a lovely cat which we have named Mew. He has his own little room at the side of the house where his food and litter tray are kept and of course mommy (that's me!) has the lovely job of clearing the poo from the litter tray on a daily basis.
Initially I used old plastic carrier bags to do this but of course we don't get very many of those these days as we are all using shopping bags again to help the environment.
The other day I was reading the latest reviews on Dooyoo (yes I know it's the 'other side'!) and read one by Butterbear for Asda Smartprice Nappy Bags currently priced at 300 for 82p. I thought to myself - these would be ideal for Mew poo!

Advantages: Allows you to dispose of nappies/dog mess etc stink & bug free Disadvantages: Not environmentally friendly
There are some products available to us that are amazingly complicated, their list of specifications as long as your arm and full of terminology few can understand, then there are products so simple and basic you think there would be difficulty finding enough to say, one of these simple products is Asda Smart Price Nappy Bags, but you'd be amazed how much more you can do with them.
Asda Smart Price Nappy Bags come in various different pack sizes and will be in the region of 30p for a bag of 100 bags and 74p for a bag of 300. They are presented in very simple white Smart Price packaging with the new design green writing and silhouette of a teddy bear, the packaging is very thin which is obviously part of what keeps the price so reasonable. The bags themselves have come in various colours in the past, when I had my daughter they were ...
