+*+*+*+*+ Asda Oat and Honey Muffins +*+*+*+*+

Price :~
These are not cheap compared to other muffins. Asda's own brand ordinary muffins are 9.5p and Kingsmill muffins work out at 22p each. But these weigh in at 24p each that's 96p a pack of 4.

Packaging :~
Packaging is simple clear plastic with a card insert to hold the muffins in place. you normally find the packaging splits wide open so you will need to store the muffins that are left in another container unless you have a big family or appetite.

Muffins :~
The muffins feel heavier than normal muffins they look the same and smell bread like. Thought they would smell sweeter with honey being an ingredient.
Cutting them in half is a lot less crumbly than the standard Asda muffins. At first they seemed stale even to the point that i checked the date to see if it was OK.

Toasting :~
There is no other way to eat muffins than toasted with marg/butter. Be careful when toasting, the setting on my toaster are medium and normal muffins are lightly toasted when they pop up, these were borderline burnt but that's OK with me.
The marge/butter soaked into the muffins quickly and could not wait to taste the honey on these muffins.

Taste :~
Biting into the muffin was like biting into a bagel, more firmness and dry not light and soft like i'm used to with other muffins.
The taste of honey was none existent they had no sweetness to them at all, basically they were the same as a bagel in texture and taste.
Now i am not saying they tasted bad they do taste nice as i like the taste of bagels, but if i wanted to eat a bagel i would buy a bagel.

Conclusion :~
They are expensive comparable to other muffins. Lack any sweetness and honey taste. For me this will be the last time i try these it will be either muffins or bagels
