The product♥
So basically it's toilet tissue which has a scent. It's supposed to smell of ylang ylang and wild rose which almost made me not buy it when I picked it up and read it because I thought it was going to smell like cheap perfume. When I actually did buy it, I was suprised because it smelt of 'clean' and a hint of floweryness. In my opinion the ... ...soft and it's not like Asda have just sprayed each sheet with a bottle of perfume. It's made so that it won't irritate you, but of course, there's always a possibility that it might happen. Nevertheless, some people just don't like the idea of it and I don't know why.
I think this is a feminine product, I expect that more women will buy this (not meaning to be sexist here) but it's a homey thing- it helps your loo to smell nice, it's ... more
loo roll! We all need it, it is a necessity, so why not go for something a bit different and luxury in the bathroom. That's what I decided to do when I popped to Asda to get some toilet roll the other day.
The product♥ So basically it's toilet tissue which has a scent. It's supposed to smell of ylang ylang and wild rose which almost made me not buy it when I picked it up and read it because I thought it was going to smell like cheap perfume. When I actually did buy it, I was suprised because it smelt of 'clean' and a hint of floweryness. In my opinion the smell was not too overpowering nor was it too weak that you couldn't smell of anything at all. It smelt kind of like fresh washed linen and bubble bath.
The actual quality of this tissue was wonderful. Although cheaper than andrex and all that stuff it's still luxuriously soft and smooth and thick. It really was very quality loo roll and I think it is a lovely feel. I have to say that the triple velevet stuff which is more expensive does feels nicer but I prefer this product because it's also great value for money.
This toliet tissue was 2 ply and there were about 250 sheets per roll. The perforations were good because you didn't have to rip it off too hard to get a bit off.
I bought this product in white but I think you can get it in a peachy colour also.
Is this product for me?♥ I think that if you can't bear to think of perfumed loo roll then chances are you won't like it. I don't know why but since I bought it and mentioned it to a few people I know they said they wouldn't think of buying it because they were scared it might disrupt their 'down there' places. i.e the perfume in the loo roll may not be suitable in the intimate places and could give you rashes etc. This is not the case, this will not happen, it's soft and it's not like Asda have just sprayed each sheet with a bottle of perfume. It's made so that it won't irritate you, but of course, there's always a possibility that it might happen. Nevertheless, some people just don't like the idea of it and I don't know why.
I think this is a feminine product, I expect that more women will buy this (not meaning to be sexist here) but it's a homey thing- it helps your loo to smell nice, it's luxury, it's different, it's girly. A man I know thought it was a daft idea! But then again, women use toilet roll more than men.
I think, if you want something different and you want a way to freshen up your loo and you do want a bit of luxury at a good price then this product is for you.
I recommend this product to businesses which have toilets. E.g. if you own a posh restaurant or hotel, then this will be excellent because it's posh luxury loo roll and your clients will love it! Same applies to people at home. If you have someone coming to stay or you want to make an impression on you then this loo roll will leave them saying "hmm that smells nice" (seriosuly someone said it to me at my house) Loo roll clearly has it's advantages sometimes!
The good and bad ♥ Okay so it smell good yeah? it's thick, soft etc. It's good value and it makes a change and it fresehens up your loo BUT! and yes there is a but, the only thing I don't like about it is that when you feel it- e.g. with your hands or when you're wiping it feel a bit talcum powdery. I don't like the actual feel of it- i like the thickness and the softness but it feels a bit chalky like when you wipe your nose with it or whatever, it feels like there is a bit of talcum powder on your nose. It's just a bit powdery. It's a difficult feeling for me to explain but I just don't like the powderyness of it. If you buy the product you will understand what I mean. That's the only bad point really and the good points definately outweight the bad point here so I'm not too bothered about it. It's not so much of a problem that I will never buy the product again. Also, on the good front, the paper is very absorbant too. Coming back to the powdery bit, I think it may be powdery beacue of the way that they make it perfumed, I think the scent might have something to do with it.
Price and availability♥ As Shades is an Asda brand it is only available in Asda. I buy a pack of 4 rolls for £1.54 but you can buy 12 rolls for £3.98. I would recommend buying 4 rolls every now and then and have plain loo rol in between. It annoys me if i go shopping in tescos on the off chance (I prefer asda but somtimes am in tesco for something else so end up doing shopping there) At tesco they obviosuly don't have this product and I always seem to be shopping in tesco when I fancy a bit of Asda shades luxury! Ah well.
Would I buy this product again?♥Yes- I have done! I have bought it probably four times in the last six months, I mean sometimes I just feel like buying normal bog standard economy loo roll. I don't think it's an all the time thing, I just buy it when I feel like me and my mum deserve some luxury! You will get annyoed with the smell or texture after a while which is why I recommend switiching every now and then.
Conclusion♥ All in all it makes a great change, it's not for every day use, I reckon just every now and then because you might get sick of the scent. It's a very luxurious soft loo roll which is great once in a while and good for when you want to impress. This toilet tissue is very good value and you will love it and so will your guests xx Find it in the tissue section of your local asda supermaket.

Review of Asda Shades Aroma ultra Soft Bathroom Tissue
Advantages: FSC certified, cheapish, your butt may smell a little sweeter? Disadvantages: STINKS, your butt may smell like an old lady!
...of our usual toilet roll Asda shades. What he came back with was slightly different!
We (or should I say I) usually get the standard shades product in whatever colour comes to hand first.
My other half came back with a Shades pack but it was Shades Aroma. I had previously seen this and just thought what will they do next! He wanted to try it (see like a kid!) and so I let him have it.
He said it was the same price as the rest but that was because ... ...that mean? Well on the Asda blurb on this product it says that it has it's own website, what? www.asdashades.co.uk so I took a look. Well the site was one page and didn't really tell me that much. This is meant to mean that this range is as environmentally friendly as possible but what is the FSC and what differences are there?
There was a link to find out more about the FSC so I looked further. They are a international organisation that promotes ...

Advantages: A fresh and pleasant aroma Disadvantages: Everyone spends longer in the bathroom!
Not one to be swayed by fancy advertising or gimmicky items I had a little laugh to myself whilst battling through the Sunday shoppers crowd at my local supermarket. What caused this merriment of mirth? It was Asda's own brand of Shades 'Aroma' bathroom tissue to give it its true marketed title. Well, I thought, I've tried double quilted, double velvet, extra thick, floral patterned and every rainbow coloured version of toilet roll...sorry, bathroom ... ...say anything to my family, and awaited their reaction, if at all they noticed. Hubby, initially thought it a bit of a corny idea but was suitably impressed. It even disguised the smell of the cigarettes that he 'doesnt' smoke whilst in the loo.....My daughters thought it quite cool and very feminine whilst my son thought it ok for wiping the seat with when he missed ,even if the smell was a bit puffy. All the family noticed the new bathroom aroma ...

Quick review of Asda Shades Aroma ultra Soft Bathroom Tissue
I have just opened a new pack of Asda shades toilet roll.
It is the worst loo roll I have ever had, its very rough and not at all like the usual soft loo roll we are used to. Athough lately they have varied
in softness.this is by far the worst. The wrapping on the four pack states 'caring for our trees and forest' I think this is just dyed tree bark! Your comments will beappreciated. ...

Advantages: smeels nice and nice packaging soft Disadvantages: should be everlasting lol
Hi thanks for readong my review, first i would just like to say that i think this toilet roll/bathroom tissue is good value for money at £1.58p for a 4 pack and £4.48 for a pack of 12 you can't really go wrong.
The first thing you notice when you look at this on the shelf is the nice pink wrapper it is wrapped up in, you can feel how soft it is by squeezing the packet.
When you get home and unwrap it you will notice that it smells really nice the ... ...aloe vera one aswell which is in a green packet.
this is good for toilet roll/bathroom tissue but it is also nice for if you have guests visiting they will be guaranteed to come out of the bathroom and say to you "your bathroom smells lovely" lol.
I would highly recommend this toilet roll to anyone as it is really nice and scented and it is also very soft and not too rough. ...
