Smart Price Curry Cooking sauce is very basic in appearance and in price, it normally retails for around 10-15p for a 400g jar and this does vary from time to time. The jar is a clear glass jar with a white screw top lid, a white paper label with pictures of saucepans and the green & white colour design of smart price products. This makes the jar stand out on the shelf as being a cheaper product but this also makes it easier to spot when in a hurry. The budget continues ad this has been my latest buy. This is from Asda and part of their Smart Pice range, which is the cheapest range in Asda. I've found some good buys in the budget Supermarket ranges, and some that I wouldn't buy again. This cost a bargain 13p for a 300g jar. Very cheap I though. After all the brand named Curry cooking sauces are around the £1.40 mark for most of them, unless you get an offer. I'm not a curry fan, but my daughter is. She doesn't realise what brand of curry sauce I'm giving her, so I purchase this Smart Price curry sauce, she doesn't spit it back put at me so it must be nice. I use it for curry sauce with chips. Packaging The 440g of curry sauce comes contained within a see through glass jar. The typical white and green Smart Price label reaches almost all of the way around the jar. The wife decided she was going to make a curry herself instead of putting a ready made one into the Microwave. I didn't realise that she just meant she would buy Rice, Buy some Chicken and a ready made jar of Sauce. So perhaps it isn't strictly home made, but nontheless it was a bit different than the normal way. We got a jar of this in Asda for a bargain 11p.
