MY OPINION
I was surprised at how good these were. I thought that because they were cheap then maybe they would not be as nice as other branded packet soups - but I was wrong.
They were very easy to make up and for some unknown reason all the powder is absorbed into the water. Normally when I make a packet soup I am left with lumps floating ... ...the bottom of the mug. With this one I didn't encounter any of this, which is a definite bonus for me - no longer will I have to scrape the lumps out of the bottom of my mug when I am washing up !!
I found there was a decent amount of vegetables included. The box says that the soup contains carrots and peas and I have to say they were there in good supply. They were also nice and soft to eat, but not mushy.

...to economy products in particular ASDA Smart Price. I must admit that I already use economy chopped tomatoes, baked beans, passata and long grain rice and and numerous tins occupy space in my store cupboard but I did wonder if I would actually like some of the other products.
One of the first things I decided to try was the chicken and vegetable instant soup…with croutons! I usually take a packet of soup to have for lunchtimes at work with ... ...of the major difference with ASDA Smart priced products and other stores economy brands are the labels. You tend to find they other stores labelling is all the same design and confusing to some people. It can be annoying when you open a tin of tomato soup, find tinned tomatoes or a tin of peaches. All the labels are the same and so taxing for the little grey matter. However ASDA has considered that and all their economy brands have a different image ...
