Being so cheap, you can't expect them, or the packaging to be particularly luxurious – the packaging is plain in green and white, but it does contain useful information such as the details to moan to Asda if it fails to do it's job .

My kitchen, like any gets its fair share of spills – tea dripped over the side near the kettle, milk spilled when my daughters getting her cereal . So, I need something to mop these up before they set in and become hard to remove – kitchen roll!

The squares of kitchen roll have perforations for easy tearing off the wall, and a rough dimpled texture . They are a slight off white in colour, and are made from recycled paper . The cardboard tubes in the middle are recyclable .
Used dry, these easily mop up tea and milk spills - and actually seem pretty absorbent , only needing one sheet to be used at a time . Used wet, these can mop up slightly more stubborn stains that have perhaps been left to sit for a while, although not as well as a good old fashioned dishcloth. When wet, I don't feel they are particularly strong – they won't withstand wringing, but they won't fall apart and leave shreds of tissue all over your kitchen worktops either . And they are quite good for mopping grease off your hands after eating chips too .
Overall, they're decent value -nothing spectacular, nothing luxurious, and no pretty patterns on them . But they do the job I need them to do, and they don't cost the earth . 4 stars .
Advantages: Great price, simple packaging, perforated edges. Disadvantages: None
Everyone is looking for ways to save money at the moment and I recently looked at the kitchen towel in my kitchen and decided that I would try something cheaper for a week or two and see how I got on. Each roll has perforations and contains what appears to be a standard amount of kitchen towel. To use a piece I simply roll it out and then pull near the perforations and one piece will break away. I used this kitchen towel for a variety of things such ... ...cleaning the windows. I found them to be absorbent and they didn't break up at all if I used them to do a little bit of scrubbing. Overall I couldn't find much different between these and the better brand. I can use them for all the same purposes and they can even be rung out a few times before they need to be binned. They are also made from recycled paper which is great as it means I can feel slightly less guilty about using half a pack every week. ...
