On my quest to rate and review and so I suppose eat all of the different kids sweets offered by Asda, Teddy Fruit Gums were the next bag I tried and are once again a sweet I would definitely recommend.

Teddy Fruit Gums come in a plumish coloured bag that has a smiling teddy licking his lips in the centre and a quantity of brightly coloured balls splashed over the front. Surrounding the teddy is the name of the sweets themselves. The fornt of the pack also tells me that the sweets are free from artificial colours and flavourings. This pack also has a bright yellow banner along the bottom that informs me that this bag is on the Any 3 for £1 offer. Singly the bag costs 38p so although this offer won't make you rich it will save a few pennies.

The bag has quite a sweet and rich aroma when it is opened and a blast of different fruity smells eagerly greet you. The sweets themselves look like small teddy bears. They are larger in size than the ones contained in Haribo bags yet small enough to still look cute J. The pack I purchased contained 25 sweets of varying colours and so varying flavours: orange/orange, yellow/lemon, green/lime, red/raspberry, purple/blackcurrant. For such a price I think the quantity of sweets is well worth the money and in my packet I found that there was a near even distribution of colours/flavours, which is always an added bonus.

So what do they taste like? Well pretty damn good in my opinion. The sweets themselves are not as soft as their Haribo equivalent but are still very pleasing to eat. They are not at all rubbery like some cheap jelly gums can be and the flavours are ripe and crisp. Better still all the sweets did taste differently rather than like a blend of all the flavours together and for me this really impressed me as very often with cheaper branded sweets the most powerful flavour tends to coat the weaker ones leaving you with a mixed flavour that isn't entirely appetising.

So what damage do they cause?

So to be perfectly honest the sweets fair pretty well on the nutritional test. Ok they're not superb for you but they're not exactly the worst you could do either and for an occasional treat they surely can't do you any harm.

In my opinion therefore these sweets definitely get the thumbs up and they are certainly something I will purchase again. The pack size makes them perfect for slipping into a handbag or coat pocket and they are also perfectly suited for filling up kids sweet jars due to their tremendous value. So go on give them a go!
