Wey-hey for Walmart

Advantages: Good quality & cheap
Disadvantages: Not always a broad selection for all ages

Been to Asda lately? I would strongly recommend you do if you have some children to buy for.

At this point, I should say that all Asda toys in my house have been presents from other people. I didn't even know that they made their own toys. I have since wandered the aisles with amazement at what is there.

My 8 month old son has two Asda toys, one which is his all time favourite, a great caterpillar. It consists of a head ...
...as sometimes you can't get exactly what you want (doesn't happen often). Secondly must be purely down to pride. I certainly have no problems giving presents in a box with Asda on the label but some of you may prefer a Harrods label!!!

Happy shopping!  ... more

Asda Toys

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Stock availability seems very variable

...the "proper" brand names, Asda is a great place to look. My best bargin recently was a Barbie type doll in a fairy tale coach for £11.98 - cheapest alternative I found was £20, and the "real thing" was £26 for the coach, with no doll included! My 5 year old doesn't know the difference! Also I have bought - wooden jigsaws for £1.66, toy cars for 89p each, packets of stickers for 69p each. They also do excellent bits for party bags - like a pack ...

Top of the shops.............

Advantages: see above
Disadvantages: see above

Advantages: Loads of stuff available, good prices Disadvantages: can get busy at christmas time so much so people abandon their shopping I am a huge Asda fan, it's where I do most of my shopping and I know where everything is which makes it easier when dragging 3 kiddies along with you! In my local Asda we have a photo centre, cafe, George, electricals, homewear, toys, bakery, pizzaria, rottisary (chicken place lol), fresh meats counter and all the usual foody aisles plus we have a petrol station, cash machines and bus stop. It's the largest shopping store we have although we do have a Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Co-Op, Farm Foods and Iceland. I have never had a bad experience with Asda and the stock is usually replenished quite quickly! They have such a huge range that I know I can do my weekly shop and more there. Everything ...

shop for everyone

Advantages: good price, promotion
Disadvantages: none

...Asda is a British supermarket chain which retails food, clothing, toys and general merchandise. It became a subsidiary of the American retail giant Wal-Mart. Asda is Wal-Mart's largest non-U.S. subsidiary, accounting for almost half of the company's international sales. Asda's marketing promotions have usually been based solely on price, with Asda promoting itself under the slogan Britain's Lowest Priced Supermarket, 11 Years Running. As a wholly owned division of Wal-Mart, Asda is not required to declare quarterly or half-yearly earnings. It submits full accounts to Companies House each October. You can do shopping in store or online. Asda offer very often low prices and good promotion. The customer services and staff are very friendly and helpful. Quality, Style and Value for all the family. Womens Clothing, Mens ...

Asda is a SUPERSTORE

Advantages: Excellent choice of goods, good quality, low prices
Disadvantages: Not always in convenient locations, untidy store layout, queues at checkouts can be long

Asda is a Superstore, there is no other word for it. It has it's drawbacks of course - nothing is perfect. The queues tend to be long at the checkouts, but is this because the store is so popular? Other stores do the same things that Asda do - fantastic array of foodstuffs including fresh bakery, deli and fish counters, clothing for the whole family including shoes, an in-store pharmacy, electrical goods, toys, a huge range of greeting cards and magazines, bedding, gift items, kitchenware and so much more. The big difference with Asda, that their goods are excellent value for money and the quality is good too. When my son and his girlfriend were buying things for their first home, they looked at me in a very strange way when I suggested they go to Asda, but when they came back, they had different looks on their faces. They became ...
