At this point, I should say that all Asda toys in my house have been presents from other people. I didn't even know that they made their own toys. I have since wandered the aisles with amazement at what is there.
My 8 month old son has two Asda toys, one which is his all time favourite, a great caterpillar. It consists of a head ... ...as sometimes you can't get exactly what you want (doesn't happen often). Secondly must be purely down to pride. I certainly have no problems giving presents in a box with Asda on the label but some of you may prefer a Harrods label!!!

My 8 month old son has two Asda toys, one which is his all time favourite, a great caterpillar. It consists of a head with four cubes individually joined on to each other with velcro to act as its body. Each cube is multi-coloured with having a letter, a digit and the same number as on a dice on the sides, oh and two legs, rather educational as a 0+ toy, don't you think? On top of that, each cube also has different textures and sounds. Me being the nosey kind went to see how much the toy had cost and I was 'gob-smacked' to find it was less than £5.
We've also got some great teething keys with a key fob that plays 'It's a small world' which was £1.99. I now go there as my first stop when buying presents for people rather than the ELC. They also stock a range of branded toys at competitive prices.
Other 'Asda' branded toys include those for imaginary play and construction.
So, what are the negatives? Firstly you have to go at the right time as sometimes you can't get exactly what you want (doesn't happen often). Secondly must be purely down to pride. I certainly have no problems giving presents in a box with Asda on the label but some of you may prefer a Harrods label!!!

...the "proper" brand names, Asda is a great place to look.
My best bargin recently was a Barbie type doll in a fairy tale coach for £11.98 - cheapest alternative I found was £20, and the "real thing" was £26 for the coach, with no doll included! My 5 year old doesn't know the difference!
Also I have bought - wooden jigsaws for £1.66, toy cars for 89p each, packets of stickers for 69p each.
They also do excellent bits for party bags - like a pack ...

Advantages: Value for Money, everything under one roof Disadvantages: Does not have the range of some toy stores
...toys, my little girl enjoys buying these. With Xmas looming, Asda is an excellent store to do all your shopping in, and take some of the stress and tension out of training round the shops, The range covers for all ages from wee babies to difficult to buy for teenagers ...

I am a huge Asda fan, it's where I do most of my shopping and I know where everything is which makes it easier when dragging 3 kiddies along with you!
In my local Asda we have a photo centre, cafe, George, electricals, homewear, toys, bakery, pizzaria, rottisary (chicken place lol), fresh meats counter and all the usual foody aisles plus we have a petrol station, cash machines and bus stop. It's the largest shopping store we have although we do have a Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Co-Op, Farm Foods and Iceland.
I have never had a bad experience with Asda and the stock is usually replenished quite quickly! They have such a huge range that I know I can do my weekly shop and more there.

Asda is a Superstore, there is no other word for it. It has it's drawbacks of course - nothing is perfect. The queues tend to be long at the checkouts, but is this because the store is so popular?
Other stores do the same things that Asda do - fantastic array of foodstuffs including fresh bakery, deli and fish counters, clothing for the whole family including shoes, an in-store pharmacy, electrical goods, toys, a huge range of greeting cards and magazines, bedding, gift items, kitchenware and so much more. The big difference with Asda, that their goods are excellent value for money and the quality is good too.
