I have two children, aged 5 and 2, who are my official full time job, and in addition I work part time for my local school, am studying for an OU degree in business studies and am renovating my delapidated house.

If you want good quality toys at incredibly reasonable prices, and don't mind if they're not the "proper" brand names, Asda is a great place to look.
My best bargin recently was a Barbie type doll in a fairy tale coach for £11.98 - cheapest alternative I found was £20, and the "real thing" was £26 for the coach, with no doll included! My 5 year old doesn't know the difference!
Also I have bought - wooden jigsaws for £1.66, toy cars for 89p each, packets of stickers for 69p each.
They also do excellent bits for party bags - like a pack of 10 activity pads for £1.
Product lines change frequently and if you're looking for something particular you might not find it - but if you're on a tight budget or just want a few cheap extras that won't fall apart the next day they're well worth checking out.

My little cousin loves the baby toys from Asda - and they're soooo cheap! Would be good to give more details on what they have available for what ages.
