I purchased this toaster last summer from my local Asda store, it was on offer along with the matching Kettle, I payed around £12 for the two, I thought this was an absolute bargain. The toaster is made out of plastic but has a metal appearance, it is a sort of grey silver colour, I think this makes it look more expensive and quite modern. It is quite a chunky toaster with nice clear buttons, it toasts two slices, the main feature is the large wheel that alters the timer, you can set it to lightly brown your toast or pretty much burn it, depending on your personal taste. It has a reheat button so you can warm your toast up, this comes in handy as a very busy mum of two, it also has a cancel button so you can make the toast pop up, especially handy if your toddler has altered the timer, believe me mine does it regularly!!
At first the toaster was great and definately worth every penny, however after about six months of use I have found it is becoming a little, lets say temperamental, sometimes it doesnt toast sometimes it does, I often have to put my bread in a second time but turn it around as it has only browned one side. The toaster has a tray under the grilling part that you can pull out to empty the crumbs, the birds in my garden love this feature, however it is still quite messy and you get a lot of crumbs still falling out of the bottom of the toaster.
I am still pleased with the toaster, it looks nice and does its job and for what I payed for it I really can not complain.Summary: you get what you pay for
