...I have just clocked up 1,000 k on my new Deauville. It's not perfect, but by comparison my previous bike - a 2002 VT750C cruiser - was just a bucket of bolts. Handling is good; brakes are OK and the optional large flip screen a must. I also put 50 mm bar risers for a more upright posture and a Xenon 55-60 watt bulb for better night illumination. I have just three winges about this bike. Firstly, the gearbox is both clunky and noisy and there is even a tendency to drop out of second occasionally on accelleration. Not nice at all. Secondly, there is a quite loud harmonic in the engine at 4,000 revs on accelleration (due, I would think to the fairing). It is not a vibration - just a noise. Finally, I would like to know why a 650 cc motorcycle only gets 4.8 litres/100 km when a Honda Jazz motor car can do as well or better. It...

...We bought our 1.6 Lanos second hand direct from Daewoo - it was 5 months old, had under 1000 miles on the clock and still had "new car smell". In the five years we have owned it, it has mostly given us trouble free motoring, largely due to the 3 year warranty on fixed price servicing that Daewoo UK used to offer.
The only real trouble we've had has been with the timing belt, which I'm told is always a problem with these GM-based engines. Ours snapped at 30k miles, taking out all the vales and the cylinder head. Daewoo UK (now defunct) were very good, fixing the whole thing under warranty, throwing in the 30k service and giving us a courtesy car for two weeks while they did it!
Unfortunately, when GM bought Daewoo Motors they didn't want the UK subsidary, and so it was allowed to go bust and GM-Daewoo just started up a chain...

Cricket is my greatest passion in life. I have been a fan for years, and have lived through the highs and lows of each test series with the England squad. Every time the Ashes came around I always looked forward to a master class by one of the greatest... more

~ ~ The Book Series explained ~ ~
This is the tenth book in the Temperance Brennan series. The books have subsequently spawned a TV series called Bones. I have to say, if you're a fan of the TV series, there are marked more
The return of Ash was always going to be sticky ground as far as I was concerned. I’d liked Nu-Clear Sounds and 1977 but Free All Angels didn’t really do anything for me. It lacked any real sense of purpose with far too many mellow tracks. It’s not that... more
There has been a series of killings in the subdued small town of Tarker Mills. Reports of a large wolf like creature prowling the town are greeted with a mixture of disbelief and fear. Yet as the killings become more and more violent it is clear that no more
