Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires - Esther Hicks

Ask and it is Given - One of the most interesting books i have read.

In the first quarter of the book, i was a little put off by the fact that Esther (author) claimed that she discovers that a spirit or spirits called Abraham is contacting them via her own body during her meditation sessions. This put me off and i had to try and look past it, because in my opinion it didnt add any more value to the book and might even put off people ...

In the first quarter of the book, i was a little put off by the fact that Esther (author) claimed that she discovers that a spirit or spirits called Abraham is contacting them via her own body during her meditation sessions. This put me off and i had to try and look past it, because in my opinion it didnt add any more value to the book and might even put off people who are new to such topics.

After getting past that, it is basically said that the spirit Abraham was writing the rest of the book through Esther. This was so far very disappointing that i had to read this and almost wanted to stop reading the book and return it back to amazon (where i got my copy from).

But because of the writing skills and the interesting insights i kept getting from reading every few pages, it kept me captured until i reached a part, what i like to call the main value of the book.

This is when it got interesting, as they were talking about the Law of Attraction, but in a very different way. Giving a much more FULLER messege than the movie "The Secret".
If you actually have watched "The Secret" than you will get a little bored on this chapter. However, there is so much information per page, and so much deep insight into what the author is saying, that i had to re-read some chapters just in case i missed anything!

This book talks about other laws rather than just the law of attraction adding more value to it because they laws support eachother in different ways and the reader can apply this in every part of their life.

To sum up, this book started off not so interesting due to it being related to someone possesing the author who then writes the book (to an extent) to give an important messege. I would think if they did not mention this in the book, the messege will speak for itself!
I was given really deep insight on the law of attraction, once i was past the first half of the book since i already know a lot about the law of attraction from various sources.

This book covers everything in so much detail it is really hard to do it justice to write a review on it. However it proves how even a simple law, like the law of attraction can be so difficult for many people to grasp and practically practice, which this book shows how to!
