Assassins Creed II Game of the Year Edition (Xbox 360) I bought this game about eight months ago from play.com as it was on sale and I had not tried any of the assassins creed games before this – I probably should I bought the first game in the series before this one! Assassins Creed 2 has to be my all time favourite video game. The game takes place in Renaissance Italy where you play as a guy in prison in the modern day but travel back in time in a machine called an animus to uncover something called "The Truth". Along the way you learn the skills of an assassin and free run the walls of ancient Rome and interact with historic characters such as the great inventor Leonardo Da Vinci. I personally loved this game, i think it was a great expansion on the ideas and game play for the first. It brought back the word of Assassins and the Templar, the secret fight for control of the world. It really expanded on the game-play from Assassins Creed 1 and overall i thought was a great game! It brings one into a world where you can jump from rooftops onto a unsuspecting corrupt political figure and do what assassins do best. I began playing the Assassins Creed franchise when the first one was released on the Xbox 360 years ago and I fell in love with the series immediately. Not only is the game play extremely fun but the in depth story about the creation of things and the truth behind the creed of assassins versus the templars, makes this game one of the best of its time. In my opinion Assassins creed 2 is better than Assassins creed 1. 2 had more gameplay to it than 1 had. The story was 100% better than 1, and brotherhood in my opinion. The art work jumped from 1 to 2, it was like 1 was xbox and 2 was xbox 360. I felt that 1 and brotherhood were good games but they just didnt have the adictivness that 2 has. I dont think 2 is game of the year, should be game of the decade. it broke gaming into a new level. I have read reviews on here and all over the web with complaints of no multiplayer in this game.
