It doesn't let you down after all the built up hype. Next gen graphics are clearly visible although the best thing about it is the gameplay. It seems like a lot of effort was put in to make sure that the motions are realistic and I can't complain about it. At first it may seem a bit too much with the different weapons and changing them to use the right one at the right time but it's not very hard to get used to them. It took me quite a few fights before being able to use the right ones at the right time. The stealth attacks are fun to play around with, I tried them out on random people first. Also the way the crouds of people are animated and the way you interact with them is quite good, whether you barge past them or walk slowly without running into villagers.

The world is quite large and the fact that you can just about move anywhere you like and use all of your surroundings is quite amazing. It has the prince of persia style but you can move much faster and jump from roof to roof and grab onto nearly everything, even if it's just a little crack in the wall. The way Altair climbs walls is very realistic and changes depending on what he climbs onto, something that I haven't come across in any other game yet.

I've heard people say that the storyline isn't that good and the game is short but if you play the game properly, doing all the side missions, the game is pretty long with over 40 hours of gameplay. The storyline isn't as good as one from Final Fantasy or any other well known RPG but combined with the gameplay it makes a game well worth the £39.99 you spend on it. I don't want to say much about the storyline as it's much better when you find out yourself what's happening. Basically some parts of the game happen in the past whereas some happen in the future. In the future you are being investigated on to find something in your memories that happened in the 12th century (I won't say what ^^). The action scenes happen in the past where you are an assassin, belonging to ancient religious sect, named Altair.

If you don't want to buy, I advise you to at least rent it to realise how nice the gameplay is.
