    What a great car this is!!! I feel like James bond when I sat in it!! Aston Martin has bounced back - and not before time. Purists may have winced when the Newport Pagnell company was bought by Ford, but even they have had to admit that the financial clout of the blue oval has revitalised the marque. Quite simply, Aston had got itself into a rut - as had its owners. If you want proof of that, consider the fact that prior to the buy-out in the mid-Eighties, 75% of Aston Martins were sold with automatic transmission.     A superb executive gentlemans express that simply says 'Out of my god damn way, I'm coming through and I earn loads more money than you'. Who could ask more of a motor car. The engine initially was rather thirsty for oil, though much better now. The DB7 shape has matured beautifully. Cosmetic changes in recent years have been minor, limited to a more aggressive stance, and this year, some rather fantastic five spoke alloy wheels (shared with the new DB7 GT incidentally).     At last BMWs are no longer the car that 007 has to drive around the movie sets in the James Bond movies, he has been bought back to the fold by Ford who paid some ridiculous amount of money for Pierace Brosnan to drive an Aston Martin in the next film. And what a car it is, just look at it. I have not had the pleasure of driving one yet, but I would sell my own grandmother to have one. The lines, the engine purr, the interior everything about it shouts elegance, power and sportiness.
