The product is actually called ASHTON AND PARSONS... It is what is known as teething granules although the packaging explains its for all things associated with teething. Ie stomach upsets.fretfullness.
If anyone is old enough to remember how drugs used to be supplied(I don't,but as I work for a big pharmaceutical company and have been to their museum..I have seen how drugs used to be supplied) well drugs used to be wrapped up in little packets, quite neatly... ASHTON AND PARSONS granules come just like that, . The packaging isnt very distinctive..I dont usually describe the packaging, but if someone was to try and find this product they would struggle... so here we go
a small white box about the size of a box of matches
with blue writing in bold ASHTON AND PARSONS and then in tiny blue writing a detailed description of what the product is said to do! So thats the packaging... Inside is 10 sachets very neatly folded up.... WARNING... Do not just open the sachets as you will lose all the powder... so carefully open the sachet and then administer... heres the fun bit... when i used this for my daughter,by the time I had got it to her mouth she has blown the stuff away!!!! but using again for the 2nd child..I just wait until hes crying(thats when he needs it) and just take his dummy out and tip it in his mouth! It works.
It is a purley herbal product containing a product called MATRICARIA 0.002ml in a lactose base. So is totally safe to be used in conjunction with other teething products, being nurofen/calpol/bonjela/anbesol and the usual teething gels!
It can be used for babies under 6 months, although im not sure how young.. and can be repeated every 2 to 3 hours if required.
It can be found in most chemists and Boots have recently put it out on the shopfloor, with the other baby healthcare products(smaller stores might still have it behind the pharmacy counter)
It retails at about £2.00 and has a long shelf life,as Im using my packet i had with my first child and its still in date.
So if you have a baby who may be teething..give it a go...Its worth it...
Here to a peaceful night for me! ;)

Well done on a great op! My other half and I have a five month old baby girl who's now starting to teeth in earnest. I just bought this today so it's good to have some new information about it! Best wishes, Derek.

Great op, I think I'll suggest this to my Sister In Law. Thankfully I'm passed that stage now. Jackie
