I bought one of these about two months ago, and without a doubt I'd say this laptop has changed my life more than any other piece of computer equipment I've ever owned or encountered. If you're looking for a laptop for work, this is one to consider.
Sitting, in size terms, between traditional, larger laptops and PDA devices, the Eee is brilliant for just about any situation where you need your computer on the move. I've used it on trains (both with and without a seat), coaches, cars - and even once while walking to a meeting. While it's light and small, the keyboard is very usable, and doesn't present the same kind of problems with tiny keys as you get on PDAs or Blackberrys.
In terms of specification, the N270 can easily run most commonplace business programmes, although I wouldn't recommend it for any high-end graphical work (but then, if you were doing high-end graphical work on the move, I imagine an iBook or similar would be the first choice). Windows XP Professional/Office 2007 are adequately fast, and using the Eee in this way doesn't, in my experience, drain the battery very fast at all - I've had 4-5 hour stints of work away from a power socket without issues.
My single reservation is on the storage; it's not the largest hard drive in the world, and that can pose problems for people working with large programmes or files. Given the number of positive points though, and that this can be dealt with to a degree by adding an external HDD (My advice - leave that at home, and put what you'll need on the Eee at the start of the day/week etc.), I wouldn't consider it to be a major disadvantage. Some of the advantages for work do make it less suitable as a home laptop; the screen, for example, is slightly too small in my opinion to watch movies on.
Highly recommended; I'm proposing these as an option for company laptops in the near future.

One of my friend have said that he has this model and he is very very pleased with it. he placed a 2GB RAM module, uninstalled half of the Asus factory freeware and replaced it with Office 2007 and google Desktop. It is so small and so quick that he even use it in the bus when I have to finish things up.
