Advantages: Good battery life, Good specifications, Wireless N and Bluetooth Disadvantages: Better netbooks available, Poor webcam
not fit into the screen. On top of that, the keyboard would be difficult to type with and funnily enough, battery life is worse because the battery would be smaller.
Not only that, but I also saw some YouTube videos with comparisons between the SSD and HDD version. The SSD, although in theory should be faster, the HDD version out performed the SSD version (People say Asus uses cheap SSD drives to keep the cost down) so performance was another factor that got me to choose this particular model in the range. The 1GB of RAM also seemed appropriate.
MY OPINION
At first, I thought it looked pretty cool but on closer inspection, I've concluded that it's not the prettiest thing in the world despite having mine in a nice pearl white colour. For a start, the Eee logo on the top of the lid is rather ugly and spoils it a bit ...
Advantages: Size, Ease of Use Disadvantages: Small keyboard, small screen
This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155.
Appearance
The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. It has a small touchpad which is small but works in exactly yhte same way as a normal sized laptop ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Asus Eee PC 701
Advantages: Quiet, Small, Stylish, Eco - Friendly, VESA mounting bracket and N WI-FI Disadvantages: Low RAM, Low HDD, No Optical Drive Not very VfM
The AsusEee Box B202 is not a PC in the standard sense of the word! It is, what is known as, a net top PC. It has no DVD Drive, is very low on processing power and has very low Hard Drive space.
Ok, for the good.
The ASUSEee Box B202 is almost silent even when running at full throttle. It?s very thin; stream line design makes it very attractive but does hinder it. It also has a bracket allowing it to screw into the VESA mounting holes on the back of any standard monitor, which means its great on space saving. It has a built in N WI-FI card meaning no dongle needed so again you gain on space! It has a gigabit Ethernet port.
This PC has one of the lowest power consumption seen so far at almost 17W while idle, meaning that this PC is very Eco-Friendly, so not only do you gain on space but on cash too. The gift that keeps on giving ...
