I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue.
The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun.
As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name.
As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek,cars ect are great for them.
Its also very durable my son has dropped his on tiled floor, sat on it and god knows what else and its fine, its also very easy to keep clean.

My husband and I have had our DS Lites for well over a year now and we still really enjoy them. I like the black model, as i think it looks most stylish and grown-up! But if i was kid, I would adore a pink one!! The graphics can be extremely high standard.
You can get various games for the DS lite, many of which are absolutely top of the range in terms of graphics, while others are more old school like Tetris. The double screen means that with certain games characters can move between the two. Other games use only one screen as the main gaming screen and has useful information on the other. The lower screen is a touch-pad and the DS Lite comes with a stylus pen so that you can write on it.
