I have found the asus x50n looks great and is so easy to run. You can play games on it but not at the highest settings. So this product is maily as a note taker. The problem is it is just like any laptop it is not special in any way but would be great as a not taker but any old lap top could do that for 100 pounds cheaper. Despite that 313 pounds is a fairly good price nowadays, I have seen better though. The battery power is quite good and actually does what it says it does compared to other laptops which don't the memory space is not great but if you only need to use it for a note take this is the perfect solution. I like the ASUS because it looks good and feels good. I can't say if this is amazing value for money it really depends on what you want. Although this Asus is very portable and I think will last a while.
Advantages: Great value, All-in-one, A good base for a budget gaming system Disadvantages: No built-in graphics, Limited sound ports, No EAX Advanced HD
...A year ago, the Asus A7N8X series consisted of some of the best selling motherboards on the market, and it's not hard to see why. At the time, the nVidia nForce 2 chipset was taking the PC market by storm and was making it easier than ever before to build your own computer. nForce 2 based motherboards included everything - well, almost everything. Sound, networking and even graphics could all be provided on one board without the need for extra PCI or AGP slot-in cards, thus saving slot space and (if you wanted to build your own computer) building time.
A year on and selling for under £50, this motherboard is now a brilliant value budget choice - you could make a very respectable gaming system based on this board. Sure, you won't be able to include a 64-bit processor or the very latest DDR2 RAM, but you'll still be able to create...

Advantages: Easy Overclock To 3200+ And So Cheap Disadvantages: None
...Based on my experience the 2500+ is an easy overclock to 3200+
You need a motherboard capable of 200 Mhz FSB such as one based on the NForce2 chipset. I am using an ASUS A7N8X-X which costs circa £50 to £60
Simply choose 200 Mhz FSB instead of 166 Mhz FSB for rock solid performance. Keeps very cool (circa 50 degrees under full load, 43 degrees otherwise) and despite the overclock is very stable.
All this with the standard OEM heatsink, no special cooling required.
One advantage of the ASUS motherboard is that you can increase the FSB by 1Mhz increments. I have had this at 208 Mhz with no problems.
The muliplier is of course locked on these chips. If you want an unlocked version go for the mobile 2500+ and you can get even higher speeds....
