USAin Bolt?
Review of Athletics in General by 1st2thebar

Advantages: Great performances
Disadvantages: great demises

*Usain Bolt – The current World Record Holder 100 metres* Men's 100m result 1 Usain Bolt JAM 9.58 (WR) 2 Tyson Gay USA 9.71 (NR) 3 Asafa Powell JAM 9.84 (SB) ------ ----- ------ USAin Bolt? Over the last month we’ve been overly spoon-fed what the Doctor’s involvement was to do with Michael Jackson’s departure. This ultimately beams the magnitude of how the West has depended on drugs. Drug taking; whether prescribed or otherwise, ...
...to the super-human whose sport makes it their livelihood to give their very best while on the world stage. This last week I’ve been stunned at witnessing the fastest man in history Usain Bolt’s 100 metre performance at the World Championships. His time of 9.58 secs without the show-boating and banging on the chest before reaching the line, proves that he is untouchable when it comes to sheer power, and pure supremacy at that show stopper 100 metre ... One of the Greatest of All Time
Review of Jonathan Edwards by ashford

Advantages: Marvellous technique. Graceful. Nice Person
Disadvantages: Has suffered injuries

...news from Edmonton is that Jonathan Edwards won the triple jump at the World Championships and in the process won Britain's first gold medal. This is his fifth medal from the World Athletic Championships and crowns a simply brilliant athletic career. The World record holder, Olympic champion and World champion has to go down as one of the very finest field athletes Britain has ever produced. Jonathan possesses a marvellous technique, has great power, ...
...as the triple jump. Jonathan can claim one of the great world records. At Gothenburg in Sweden in the 1995 World Championships the British jumper smashed the world record with a leap of 18.29 metres. A truly astonishing performance which has to rank with Bob Beaman's long jump as one of the most incredible world records of all time. Indeed it may be many years before it is beaten. Mr Edwards is not only a fine athlete but a fine person as well. ... Read review

I'd rather lose than be a cheat.
Review of Dwain Chambers by Benniash

Advantages: Top class British sprinter, British and European record holder.
Disadvantages: Failed drugs test, poor results when it mattered on the track.

...fan had dreaded was revealed; Dwain Chambers’ ‘B’ sample had tested positive for the now infamous illegal drug THG. Despite stating his innocence, Dwain knows that his case of ‘ignorance’ of not knowing that he had been given it will not stand up against the athletics governing body, the IAAF, and their strict drug laws. I am the first to scream for innocent until proven guilty but in this case we all know that writing is on the wall for him. Not ...
...the drug. At 25 Dwain Chambers had given us new hope that we’d not seen in his event since Linford Christie back in the early nineties. Any true athletics fans, and even those not so, wait with anticipation every four years for the Olympic 100 metres final, and to have the hopes of a home grown talent in with a chance of taking gold is what we all want to see. Dwain had progressed well through the Junior ranks, claiming World gold in both the 100 ... Read review

Arrogance be thy name...
Review of Maurice Greene by lil_devilg

Advantages: Excellent athlete
Disadvantages: To some he may come across as too full of himself!

...athlete ever!? Full of self-confidence, Maurice Greene has proved himself the best! Winning the 100M in the olympics impressed me, not that I didn't think that he could do it, but I did wonder if his career would grow to match the size of his head! He's a strong athlete mentally and physically, as he has strived to make it to the top! Many people think that athletes can just exploit their natural ability to do their sport, but this is so not the case! ...
...keep this in mind, and Maurice has done well by not only thinking and knowing he is the best, but by proving it to! What I'm saying is that maybe a little arrogance goes a long way, and self-belief is not a bad thing! I hope to see many more years of Maurice showing them how its done on the track as he can do 200M to! I really do believe he is 'king of the track' and I support him all the way! ... Read review
