During my search I by chance happened to go to my local ASDA where they have a pharmacy. In the pharmacy on special offer (or is that roll back I can never tell the difference) were Atkins Advantage shakes. They were available in Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate and were marked down from £7 to £5 for a pack of 4. Never one to turn down a bargain I bought a pack of Strawberry.

On first sip the shake is quite nice, unfortunately when I swallowed it brought a grimace to my face. For some reason the shake leaves a rather unpleasant bitter aftertaste. I've tried it warm, cold, from a glass, through the straw and always the same.
I thought perhaps it was my choice of flavour so at the weekend when I was out shopping I found the Vanilla flavour on sale in Holland and Barratt for about £1.89. Nope, still the same bitter after taste.
I won't be buying the 4 packs again although if I'm ever out shopping and find I need something I would rather have a shake than have something that is not allowed so I am glad I've found them.
In spite of my experience I would recommend that you try them if you are trying to stick to a low carb regime. Different people have different taste receptors; to you it might taste ok.
FYI here is a quick breakdown of the nutritional information per 330 serving.... 181 kcal, 21.5g Protein, 2g Carb (1g Sugars), 9.2g fat (1.6g Saturated) 0.25g Sodium.
As well as being available in ready-made cartons it is also available as a powder to mix yourself (as shown in the picture).
As well ASDA and Holland and Barratt I have also seen it on sale on a number of web sites for about £1.80 a carton plus p&p.
Hope this helps and good luck on whatever your chosen weight loss plan might be. Just for the record low carb seems to be working for me even though it is the total reverse of my eating philosophy of the last 20 years.
