Audi A2 1.4 Sport

Advantages: Lovely lightweight sporty car with lots of passenger space.
Disadvantages: Can be prone to electrical faults.

...I had an 2002 A2 1.6 FSI Sport and I loved it. It's a distictive and stylish car - and with the curvy roof slightly taller than most small cars it's easy to spot in Sainsbury's car park! Also worth mentioning that for a small car, it's huge inside. The car is (was, A2s are no longer in production) sold as standard with 4 seats - although they do exist with 5 - and there is loads of room for 4 adults. Leg-room as well as height. Consequently the boot is tall rather than deep, but there's plenty of room for a big shop or a couple of cases. The high driving position gives lots of visibilty although beware that the front pillars are rather thick. The body of the car is made of aluminium which means that it's very lightweight and won't rust. Having had a couple of Audis over the years, I think it's worth mentioning that if you polish them... Advantages: Good range of features.
Disadvantages: Tad expensive and ugly!

...Audi have just launched a new model in the UK – the A2. This is now their cheapest model starting at just £13,150 – more affordable for the middle class population. Equipment The car comes as standard with a host of features and equipment such as: alloy wheels; electric windows and mirrors; front and passenger airbags and side airbags; ABS; power steering; remote control central locking. The sort of features you would expect on a car of this price! Technical Spec There is no detail available on the Audi site which I find particularly annoying and I think that Audi is being a bit slack on that one! Design/Look What can I say, you either love it or you hate it! In my case I hate it! It is a sort of bubble, along the lines of the recently released Citroen Picasso. Advantages: A practical, frugal, stylish and ovrall fun car.
Disadvantages: Only really a four seater

...I have been the proud owner of a 2001 Y model Audi A2 TDi for about four months now. I bought it for my business as a lifestyle manager as it conveyed the right image, was deemed to be frugal and also reliable. On the side of image Audi have a winner because whether you love or hate the shape it doesnt fail to turn heads and of cause it is an Audi which impresses my clients without overwhelming them. It certainly is a frugal vehicle returning an impressive mpg (ive managed to average over 60mpg so far) thanks to its aluminium spaceframe which helps in other areas too. The lack of weight and the impressive torque generated add up to a quick fun to drive little car. The other thing that is great that it is a comfortable sit up and beg driving position with plenty of room including the rear passengers. My only criticism... Read review
