Can this car do any wrong?
The car has not been driven by a saint either, when on back roads, it generally gets thrown around, and you really have to watch the speed, I keep finding myself at 85MPH on the twisty roads.
The tyres we had on the car from new were the Michelin Energy 175/60 15 which ... ...lot of cash including fitting, and mytyres.net will save you at least £20 per tyre delivered to your door, compared to Kwik-Fit at £103 per tyre + valve and balance.
I have a friend who works for a tyre fitting company, both fitted new valves, and balanced for £10 in the christmas night out kitty. Still £30+ better off, or put another way, nearly 1.5 tanks of diesel, well over 600 miles of driving ... more

Advantages: Quality, great to drive Disadvantages: No diesel automatic
...much as this very funky Audi A2, so I compromised on the automatic aspect, reckoning that I'd rather save some money on the fuel economy (and the road tax - a surprisingly refreshing 35 quid a year - bargain!). I also liked the relatively low emissions.
I wanted something small, pretty cheap to run and very easy to drive, but also wanted the car to be a bit different. Since then I seem to see A2s everywhere, but I think that might just be because ... ...imperative, as I know very little about mechanics and want to have an easy life! We were already a one-Audi family (hubby has an A4) and I thought I'd have a look at the A2. What I liked about it was its upright, quite dynamic driving position, and the loads of space in the back because the back seat passengers' feet go under the front seat passengers' seats. I also loved the nippy, very responsive engine. Finally, it's also quite easy to get stuff ...

Advantages: Easy to drive, nippy, headroom Disadvantages: blindspot
I've had my Audi A2 for a year now and think it's a brilliant vehicle to drive. Looks wise it's different, but in a nice kind of way. It's comfortable to drive, all the equipment is in easy reach and handling is excellent. There is plenty, if not loads, of headroom, and for the passengers sitting at the rear, they have more than enough leg room so is very comfortable for 4 people to travel at one time.
There is a very intriguing element to the A2 ... ...inside the car, and the Audi logo at the front of the vehicle flips open. There you will have access to fill up water and oil - clever stuff !
One of the biggest disadvantages is the blind spot for the driver when travelling round roundabouts or approaching roundabouts. It is often extremely difficult to see the curb/traffic travelling round roundabout, in fact virtually impossible. The other is the spoiler on the rear window - there is no need ...

Advantages: A practical, frugal, stylish and ovrall fun car. Disadvantages: Only really a four seater
...of a 2001 Y model Audi A2 TDi for about four months now. I bought it for my business as a lifestyle manager as it conveyed the right image, was deemed to be frugal and also reliable.
On the side of image Audi have a winner because whether you love or hate the shape it doesnt fail to turn heads and of cause it is an Audi which impresses my clients without overwhelming them.
It certainly is a frugal vehicle returning an impressive mpg (ive managed ... ...boot taller.
Overall apart from a couple of warranty issues that were dealt with promptly the car has been reliable and although the service costs are high Audi operate a clever variable usage service interval scheme so the cost is spread thinly if you are not a rep or similar. ...

Advantages: Very economical and attractive Disadvantages: None
I purchased my Audi A2 new in September 2001, and can honestly say that it is the best car I have ever owned. It is a 1.4L TDi, is black and has a grey interior.
The diesel engine is very very quiet, compared with my daughters' VW Polo and Toyota Yaris, and my husband's VW Bora. It is very economical to run - it does approximately 80 miles per gallon! Another great thing is that it is really quick off it's mark - that is probably down to the turbo ... ...air conditioning found in many Audi cars. There is no sunroof, but I do not think this is a problem. My car is a 5 door, however the 3 door option exists. There is plenty of space in the boot, and it has the added advantage that it is high, such that taller objects can stand upright rather than lying over. The safety features include ABS, front, passenger and side airbags, an engine immobiliser and a manufacturer fitted alarm system. The latter 2 ...

Advantages: BMW quality, Appeal, Looks Disadvantages: Not a load lugger, Pricey
I opted out of my company car scheme last year. Consequently, I spent a very long time trawling the market, looking to replace the company car that was about to be returned (A MB C-Class Estate).
My life style was still the same so was looking for a car I could do 'cruising' higher mileages in for work whilst providing me lots of luggage space for 'activity' holidays few times a year.
I looked at the following (in alpha order):
Alfa Romeo 156 2.4JTD Sportwagon
AudiA41.8TDi Estate
BMW 318 1.8i SE Touring
MB C220 Classic Estate
MG ZT-T+
Saab 9-3 2.0i Estate
Volvo V70 2.4 SE Estate (ex-demonstrator)
All of these cars are very competant. My main buying criteria were Drive, Equipment/Options, and Cost of ownership over 3 years - with a max £24k budget. As I was going to be taking out a personal loan (repaid by my car ...

Now please don't quote me on this, but I just nipped over to the Audi web site -- http://www.audi.co.uk/newcars/range.jsp?section=/models/a6saloon/a6saloon -- to do a quick bit of research for this review and it looks pretty definite to me that they are no longer doing a 1.9 TDI version of the AudiA6 saloon. They are doing a 2.4 SE manual, a 2.4 SE multitronic, a 3.2 FSI SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE tiptonic, a 4.2 quattro SE tiptronic, a 2.0 TDI SE manual and a 3.0 TDI quattro SE tiptronic, but look, there ain't a 1.9 SE TDI anymore. Well, ever willing to go against the grain dave27 changed his company car pretty damn recent and went for the old version of the Audi before these new fangled mothers found their way onto our streets, and I certainly have got a 1.9 SE TDI to call my very own. The others ...

Advantages: Stunning and different looks, involving drive, solid quality, practical size Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, equiment spec average, poor dealer experiences
tech business I work in, where the car you drive so often reflects a lot about your work approach and lifestyle.
I was lucky enough to test-drive a shortlist of 4 cars all circa the £21-24k price tag before choosing. I tested a Saab 9-3 2.0TD Vector Sport, BMW 1-Series 120d SE, AudiA3 2.0 TDI SE.
Overall I loved the AudiA4 Avant and still do, but considering the high cost, image and market expectations of a car like this I feel no shame in being brutal in some aspects of the review.
Looks and street cred - First Impressions
--------------------------------------------------------
The first thing that captured my attention was the new look front-end to the A4. The deceptively long bonnet with an over-sized front-grill slapped in the middle of cleaner and smoother front bumper than any Audi has seen so far is truly eye catching ...
