Audi A3 1.6 FSI Sport 5dr

Advantages: Lovely lightweight sporty car with lots of passenger space.
Disadvantages: Can be prone to electrical faults.

...I had an 2002 A2 1.6 FSI Sport and I loved it. It's a distictive and stylish car - and with the curvy roof slightly taller than most small cars it's easy to spot in Sainsbury's car park! Also worth mentioning that for a small car, it's huge inside. The car is (was, A2s are no longer in production) sold as standard with 4 seats - although they do exist with 5 - and there is loads of room for 4 adults. Leg-room as well as height. Consequently the boot is tall rather than deep, but there's plenty of room for a big shop or a couple of cases. The high driving position gives lots of visibilty although beware that the front pillars are rather thick. The body of the car is made of aluminium which means that it's very lightweight and won't rust. Having had a couple of Audis over the years, I think it's worth mentioning that if you polish them... Advantages: Great comfort, economical, great value for money, excellent road runner
Disadvantages: Not as punchy as a Golf GTI 2.0

...the Golf, this car has a 6 Disc CD Autochanger and I would recommend this over the ordinary CD player as when you are driving along, you can automatically change CD's over without all the hassle. It had climate control which was extremely useful in the summer with my hayfever, it made it excellent. Also the car was a good performer on long road trips, it was comfortable in the front or in the back. My Audi was 3drs with also a 6 speed gearstick which amazed anyone who hadn't come accross this before in a car. It ran on unleaded fuel and was manual. I did notice that as soon as I brought the car, all other Audi A3's on the road were the TDI option rather than the FSI which I can only presume people went for because that diesel was cheaper to run rather than unleaded. If it wasnt for having to change my car, I would still be driving my Audi A3... Read review

...We got an Audi A2 1.6 FSi Colour Storm from a main dealer 5 years ago, it was an ex-demo and my wife fell in love with it straight away. Now I could bore you with fuel consumption and safety ratings but I always feel these reviews should be more based on the fact that most people that buy things care more about personal experiences rather than things they can find out about from the makers web site. We looked at loads of cars and by far this was not only the most quirky, but also the performance was fantastic for a 1.6 engine. The Colour Storm edition is the one I would go to, the colour scheme is totally original with bright body colour and black roof and mirrors. The interior is blessed with air-conditioning, a great stereo system and amazing comfortable seats. The room in the back could be a little more spacious as could the boot... Read review
