Audi A3 1.8 T

I bought my A3 1.8 SE as a used car on 25k miles from an Audi dealer. From the moment I saw this car I knew I was going to buy it, the paint job was (and still is) faultless. Its true that you should never buy a used car on looks alone, but for this car I'm glad I did. The build quality on this car is really impressive and I could not, and have not , been able to find anything that rattles, doesn't fit, breaks off easy, is poor quality, doesn't work or even needs changing too quickly. I know alot about cars in general including Mercs and BMW's, and I have to say the build quality and materials used in this Audi do seem at least as good and in many cases, better.

This car has reasonable handling without a sports suspension. The equipment level on this SE model is good - AC, sunroof, CD autochanger & BOSE system (pure quality !!), electric heated door mirrors, side impact protection, front & side airbags etc. The CD autochanger is hidden so well I couldn't find it and thought it did have one - its cleverly build into the rear suspension, but still never jumps !!

If you are a safety freak I have news for you, this car is even stronger than it looks. The reason I know this is because unfortunately I was involved in a side/front collision with a Golf, early last year. During the accident the audi felt very strong and safe, handling well, furthermore my car servived without any chassis damage, in fact the damage was described as lite to medium. The Golf, however, was written off !! The repair bill was not cheap but it was absolutely perfect.

The standard of servicing on this car is excellent and reasonable in terms of cost from Audi. I really do recommend this car as a buy - it is definately worth the money and will make you an Audi convert !!
