I have owned over a dozen cars, and by far the best has been my Audi A3, I can say with authority that it is a far better car than 9/10 other brands of car. It's as simple as that. Every component seem to be of the highest quality, you can tell it's an Audi mainly by its superb braking and its perfect handling. Consumption is high-ish, although that is to be expected from a car that is quite heavy, and it's very good when compared to cars of similar class to it.
The low pints, for me at least, would be its normally drab and unimaginative interiors, you might as well be in a Ford, and also how hard and, compared to other cars, uncomfortable the seats are, although they look well made and of good materials. Apart from that, I have to say that attention to detail is everywhere, the electric sunroof in particular is something amazing in this car.
To summarise, I would never look at this car as a status symbol, it is a necessity for someone who needs a really good and reliable car, apart from being very elegant and with great looks and safety features.

Advantages: Great build quality, lots of toys, pretty nippy and a name you can trust. Disadvantages: Fuel consumption, fault on stereo and uncomfortable on really long journeys.
