Having bought a second hand Audi A4 last Autumn I have enjoyed the benefits of an economical and quiet diesel engine. The sleek design is a joy to drive. The sting in the tail (or should I say engine compartment) has however hit home - with a new clutch costing in excess of £600. The quality of the car and the low day to day running costs will hopefully outweigh the somewhat high repair bills. (An Audi garage quoted over £900 to replace the clucth and alternator bearing). The one poor aspect of the Audi is the lack of leg-room in the rear footwells, making sitting in the back on long journeys somewhat tiring. Although, driving in the front is no problem!

Maybe you could give some more info - but I do agree that this car is reliable and cheap to run. And looks good too!
